Hi,
My name is Mike and I'm going to lead you through a five-minute work break.
So take a moment and get settled.
That can mean sitting,
Standing,
With your eyes open or closed.
For this first minute we're not going to focus on anything.
We're just going to let the body rest.
So whatever that means to you,
Fully embrace it.
No need to worry about any deadline,
Any future events.
Just enjoy the simple act of doing nothing.
Now I want you to turn your attention towards your breath.
Simply watch the inhale and the exhale and try to follow that.
And if the mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just bring it back.
I'll give you some time to practice this.
Just checking in to see where your attention is and bring it back to the breath.
Nothing to turn in.
It's no use worrying because in this moment you're safe.
Each breath grounds you further into this moment.
The only moment you'll ever have.
Now we can just rest,
Letting go of our attention.
Taking in the moment and setting an intention for the rest of our day.
Maybe the beginning of it wasn't to your liking and that's okay.
In this moment,
The only moment you'll ever have
Is where we can make the decision from on how the rest of the day will go.
So moving forward,
If you need a second take it.
Breathe in,
Stop what you're doing.
Acknowledge that in this moment you are in complete control of your response.
