Good morning and welcome to another day.
In this meditation we will set an intention.
This could be a way you'd like to act,
How you'd like to protect your energy,
Or anything you would like to carry with you throughout the day.
Let's take a moment to settle in.
This could be laying down,
Standing,
Or sitting.
You may keep your eyes open or invite them to close,
Whichever is more comfortable.
And we'll settle in by taking in one deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And let the breath return to normal.
We will drop in by placing the attention on the breath for a few minutes.
Simply place your attention on the inhale and exhale.
And if the mind wanders,
Bring it back.
No pressure.
I'd like you to feel into what is most present in this moment.
That could be irritation,
Tiredness,
Or a sense of excitement for the day.
Whatever it is,
Acknowledge it and let it be.
This might guide you to form the intention for today.
I'd like you to imagine you have a bag,
A briefcase,
Or a purse next to you.
It is empty,
Just like the beginning of this day,
Full of possibilities.
Thinking of what today might bring,
Because we truly never know,
I'd like you to imagine what would be most beneficial to carry with you throughout the day.
Take some time to feel into what feels right and what the mind wants.
Nothing is coming.
That's okay.
Enjoy this moment.
If you have found something,
I'd like you to place it in the bag you have.
Take a moment to feel the bag with the intention you have made.
You may pick up the bag,
Hold it close to you.
This will be a guiding light throughout your day.
All you have to do is remember.
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up for this day the best way that you can.
No matter what happens,
You will always have the intention that you started the day with.
Let's take a moment.
Take a deep inhale and exhale.
Wingle the fingers and the toes.
When you're ready,
If your eyes are closed,
You may open them.
You're ready for whatever today brings.
You've handled every obstacle so far.
Just remember the intention.
A helpful trigger could be looking at your bag or purse as a gentle reminder of how you wanted to show up.
Sending you good luck and thank you for the work.
