Greetings and welcome to today's meditation.
Person beneath the roles.
I want to take a moment just to tell you how glad I am that you're here.
I am grateful.
For your presence.
And I want to just invite you just to take a moment.
To settle in.
To find a comfortable position.
Where you feel supported.
And you can allow yourself just to arrive.
Just the way that you are.
There's nowhere else that you need to be,
There's nothing that you need to accomplish,
And there's nothing that you need to prove.
And for the next few moments.
I'm inviting you to simply allow yourself to receive this time.
As a gift.
And as you're continuing to settle in,
Notice the support beneath you.
Feel the chair or your bed or even the floor.
Beneath your feet.
Allow yourself to just lean into.
That support.
Allowing yourself to settle in as you take in a few slow,
Deep breaths.
Allowing your lungs to fill.
Your chest to soften and your belly to expand.
Imagine that.
Your breath.
Is continuing.
To journey.
Throughout your body.
Moving through your hips,
Down your legs,
Into your feet.
Until it gets to your tippy toes.
And as you breathe out,
Just invite your shoulders to soften.
Your jaw to relax.
Your body just settle in just a little bit more.
As you continue to breathe in.
And breathe out.
Allowing yourself to breathe in.
Receiving.
What you need.
And as you breathe out,
Releasing.
What you no longer want to hold.
Allowing yourself to find your own natural rhythm.
One that allows you to just notice what's happening notice how your body is responding.
And when it feels right,
I'm going to invite you just to notice who is showing up.
Which part of you shows up every day?
Maybe it's the one that's holding.
A lot of responsibility.
Maybe it's the one who is always dependable.
Maybe it's the caregiver.
Or the helper.
Or the provider.
It could even be The problem solver.
The peacekeeper.
Faithfully achieve her goal.
But it can also be the one that just has simply been.
Keeping things going.
The one who holds it all,
Manages it all.
Just so that you keep functioning.
Even when you are tired.
I invite you just to take a moment.
To quietly acknowledge all that you have carried.
All that you are carrying.
Acknowledge it.
Without judgment.
Without criticism.
Just know the same.
That these roles have served you well.
Some were chosen.
Others may have been handed to you.
Some may have just come into existence just to help you survive.
But each one.
In their own way.
Have been trying to protect you.
To help you.
They have helped you survive seasons.
That you wouldn't have been able to navigate otherwise.
They've helped you to navigate things.
That you could have never imagined that you would need to.
But with their help,
You are able to.
Allow yourself to continue to breathe.
And I invite you just to imagine for a few moments that each one of the rolls.
Are seated beside you.
Each one of these parts.
Are sitting beside you.
To your left or to your right.
Not because you are trying to throw them away or to get rid of them.
No,
We're not rejecting them.
We're not banishing them.
We're simply inviting them to take a moment to rest.
To rest in community with us,
To rest beside us.
Letting them know that they can even put down what they've been carrying.
For a moment.
And you invite them one by one to just gently place.
The responsibilities or cares,
Just down for a moment.
It doesn't have to be a long moment,
Just a moment.
Inviting the helper.
To just relax.
Help themselves for right now,
To rest.
Inviting the Achiever.
To just take a moment to catch their breath.
Inviting the caretaker.
To take a moment to care.
For themselves.
Are just breathing.
Inviting the strong one.
Too loud.
Itself just too.
Relax into this moment.
Where it doesn't have to be strong.
Inviting the fixer.
To refrain from fixing right now.
Just enjoy being.
The one who knows.
What to do in any given situation because they always know what to do,
What to say,
How to respond.
Invite them.
To not know in this moment.
Just a bee.
To be.
Beside you.
Inviting them just to be with you as you take a collective breath.
As you'll find your own rhythm.
And then invite them to notice how it feels to be a little bit lighter even for a moment.
How does it feel to be more spacious?
For a moment.
To be more present.
For a moment.
And if it feels okay.
You might ask.
And you don't need an immediate answer.
There's no pressure.
There's no demanding.
You may ask,
Who is here when I'm not performing?
When I'm not having to do a roll.
When I'm not having to please others,
When I'm not having to have all the answers or to be strong for everybody else.
And allow yourself just to notice.
Who shows up?
Maybe it is a quiet curiosity.
A gentle strength.
Playful spirit.
A compassionate heart.
Or maybe it's a creative spark.
Or even a.
Peaceful Presence.
Or maybe as they have put down what they've been carrying.
It made room.
For you just to notice.
That it's you that's there beneath all the rolls.
The real you,
The whole you,
The true you.
The one whose presence.
Who's alive.
Noticing that nothing has been lost.
But there's an opportunity.
For you.
To see you.
You didn't disappear.
You were only covered over.
Allow yourself to breathe.
Imagine yourself just standing before a beautiful mirror.
Not a mirror that reflects your appearance,
But a mirror that reflects your essence.
And as you look into it,
Notice what you see.
Not your accomplishments.
Not your responsibilities.
Not your titles.
Not your mistakes.
Not the opinion of others.
Simply the remarkable human being who has been there all along.
Allow yourself to notice.
Allow yourself to take it all in.
Without evaluating.
Without assessing,
Without judging,
Without trying to improve.
Jess.
Take a moment to recognize yourself.
And if it feels okay.
Just gently place your hand over your heart.
And silently offer yourself these words.
I don't have to earn my place.
I don't have to perform to be worthy.
I don't have to become someone else.
To be accepted.
I just have to simply give myself permission.
To fully be me.
I simply have to give myself permission.
To be fully me.
Allow yourself.
To breathe.
And notice how those words landed within you.
And as we begin to close,
Imagine gathering all of the qualities,
All of the parts of you that you rediscovered today.
And inviting them.
To receive kindness.
To take rest.
To be courageous.
To tap into creative energy.
There are qualities.
That were covered over.
And you got to rediscover them.
Your wisdom.
Your creativity.
Your courage.
Your curiosity.
Your kindness.
And there may be more that was revealed to you.
Continue to connect with whatever revealed itself to you,
Allowing the parts took a moment for themselves to just Lay down what they've been carrying for so long.
Allow them.
To see.
That you're remarkable.
You have remarkable qualities.
And that.
You're welcoming those qualities back.
Into existence.
You're welcoming them back.
To be noticed.
To no longer be hidden.
That you're welcoming them back into your heart.
Allowing them to be seen.
And it's not because they were ever truly gone,
Because they were not.
But you're welcoming them back because today you were able to remember that they were still yours.
And I'm gonna invite you just to bring your awareness back.
To your breath.
Back to the support beneath you.
Back to the room around you.
Knowing that you can return to this place whenever you need to remember who you are.
And as you move through the rest of your day,
Carry this question with you.
Hold it gently.
Who am I becoming?
When I allow myself.
To simply be.
My hope is that you will continue to meet yourself with curiosity and with compassion.
And with a quiet confidence that beneath every role you've ever carried.
That your parts have carried.
That there has always been someone remarkable waiting be remembered.
Know that you are.
Remarkable.
Thank you so much for sharing this time with me.
And as you land back in your space,
In this place,
In this time.
I invite you to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
End.
For your parts that have put down.
What they were caring for right now.
They can choose to pick up what they need to,
What they want to,
Whenever they're ready.
Or they can stay.
And allow.
Themselves to fully enjoy a little bit more time.
Without having to hold or carry all that they were doing before.
They get to choose.
Thank you,
And bye-bye for now.
