This meditation is a brief version of a longer Self-energy practice used in my IFS-based betrayal healing work. Through breath and gentle imagery, you sense the calm presence of Self and allow your protectors to notice this grounded inner leader. Even in a short format, this practice helps rebuild inner trust and creates a small but meaningful shift toward internal safety. You can return to it anytime you need a reminder that there is a steady, compassionate center within you that can guide your healing.

Greetings and welcome to today's meditation,

Trusting the Self Within.

Take a gentle breath.

Allow it to go deep into your belly.

Gently expanding your belly and let it flow out slowly.

Allow yourself to get into the rhythm of your breath.

Invite your shoulders to soften and your body to settle into a place of support.

Bring your attention to the area around your heart.

Notice any sensations that are there.

It could be warmth or tightness,

Stillness or anything else that arises.

Imagine a soft light beginning to glow in the center of your chest.

It may be golden,

Blue or any other color that feels calming to you.

This light represents self.

The calm and compassionate presence within you.

With each breath,

Allow this light to grow a little stronger.

Let it spread through your chest,

Your arms,

Your belly,

Your back.

Let it travel gently down to your legs and feet,

Your toes.

Allow this light to penetrate,

Going into your bones and your marrow,

Your DNA and your cells.

Into your mitochondria,

Allowing it to just expand.

Allow it to even touch your hair follicles,

Your nails.

Wherever it's needed,

Allow it to go.

Infusing.

Every part of you.

Now sense your protector,

The one that is nearby.

You may see them or feel them or just simply know that they are present.

Invite them to notice this light that's inside of you.

Let them sense its steady presence.

And if it feels okay to say this to them,

Let them know,

You do not have to guard alone anymore.

I am here.

Only if it feels right.

You don't have to guard alone anymore.

I am here.

I am here.

Allow yourself to notice or feel any shifts in your body as you say those words.

It might be a subtle shift,

Like a soft release or a gentle warmth or even a sigh of relief.

Let your breath anchor you in this inner steadiness.

Feel the calmness in your heart.

The clarity in your body.

And the quiet strength that's growing inside of you.

Take that in.

Notice it.

Rest in this awareness for a few breaths.

With each breath allowing it to get a little bit deeper,

Holding it a little bit longer,

Allowing yourself to really absorb it,

To be with it,

To connect like you have never connected before.

And when you are ready,

You can place a hand over your heart and say silently,

I am here.

I see all my parts.

I see you.

We are safe now.

Allow that truth to settle into your body.

If it feels well to do so,

Take one final breath in and just hold it,

Allowing yourself to gently release it.

I invite you to carry this sense of inner trust with you as you go throughout your day.

And as we prepare to return back to this space and time,

I invite you to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes and gently open your eyes.

Thank you so much for tuning into this meditation today.

Bye-bye for now.
