Just as a tree has old dried up leaves,
We sometimes are carrying those old dried up leaves and yet we don't know how to release them.
So today you get to shed your old skin,
Release your old dried up leaves of emotions and beliefs and thoughts and perceptions that weighed you down for so many years.
That you may have even absorbed as a child from your parents,
From your culture,
From your upbringing,
From the media.
But all that is not even,
You don't even have to know.
It's so amazing how you can just release so easily.
Just as easily as a tree allows the wind to cause those old dried up leaves to just fall with the breeze.
And so you also can create your own wind and your own sounds of release.
That's right.
Ah.
And taking an inventory now,
What am I holding onto from my past?
What are my old dried up leaves?
Allow whatever to arise from your past.
What are you still holding onto that you resent?
That you resent in yourself or others?
Maybe there's thoughts that you repeat in your head that cause you to weigh down yourself.
Do you worry about anything?
Are you obsessive?
Do you have any compulsive thoughts that keep coming up in your head?
Pay attention what arises.
Do you worry about the world or the state of the world or the government?
Are you preoccupied with family members?
Are you still harboring hurts from the past?
Is there anything that you took personally?
And what stories have you made up about yourself?
What identity do you carry about yourself because of how people treated you in the past?
Your parents,
Your family,
Your friends,
Your coworkers,
Your teachers,
Your coaches,
Your instructors.
Allow yourself to breathe in deeply,
Feeling everything.
I am open to feeling everything and flowing everything that arises.
Sometimes we protect ourselves and we close off feeling.
Was I closed off early on in my life?
Did I shut down from my emotional side?
Have I tried to be strong,
Keep it together?
Or have I nurtured my inner child,
The vulnerable me?
Notice what arises and remember all of it is perfect for you.
Everything that you feel right now,
Everything that is coming up for you right now,
It's perfect for you.
And if old memories arise,
If old emotions come up that you may not have even felt in years,
Are you willing to simply witness these emotions?
They're just energy in motion.

This causes you to reset your nervous system and you can do this at any time throughout the day when you're driving,
You're in the elevator,

I know how to process my past in my body.
I am perfectly designed to relax,
To release and reset my nervous system.

Connecting now to your soul,

Remembering that what you are is the witness of all of these thoughts and emotions that arise.
However,
You are not your thoughts or your emotions.
You are the witness,
The observer of your thoughts and emotions.
Practicing being the witness is meditation.
Being the observer with no judgment,
Moment to moment awareness is a form of meditation called mindfulness meditation.
And it's actually mindlessness meditation because there's no thoughts.
We have a conscious mind and we have a subconscious mind.
And 95% of the programming that we live our lives every single day,
95% of it is run by our subconscious mind.
We are unconscious to it.
And so if you have ever wanted to lose weight,
Let's just say,
And you try everything consciously,
But you still have trouble losing the weight.
Or if you want to get over someone when you have a breakup or a divorce,
