Guide your meditation to trust your gut.

Lay down in a comfortable position with your thighs and legs spread wider than your hips.

Lay your arms to move away from your center,

Turning your palms facing upwards.

Turning your shoulders down and back.

Lengthening the crown of your head away from your neck.

Our gut is an area of our body where the ribs and the abdomen meet.

Our stomach is located on the left side,

Upper quadrant.

And our intestines,

Our internal organs are all between the ribs and the pubic bone,

The pelvis.

Each one of our organs responds differently to the different emotions that we feel that are based on our thoughts and beliefs,

The feelings that we have.

When we're stressed,

Our internal organs feel stressed.

They don't function as optimally.

When we love and accept,

When we're present,

When we invite compassion,

Understanding into our lives,

Our intestines relax.

Our gut feels peaceful.

If you have constipation or irritable bowel syndrome,

Or if you're hypersensitive to foods,

Or if you get nervous and your stomach hurts you,

Or if you ever feel tension in your gut,

In your stomach,

Or have a hard time accepting your body,

Especially your tummy,

The next exercises that we're going to do are going to help to connect you to your body and connect you in a way where you are relating with your body in a loving,

Nurturing,

And supportive way so that the lining of your gut will start to create a more harmonious environment inside so that you can digest food,

Absorb nutrients,

And process the food more efficiently.

Are you willing to receive all of the benefits of this guided meditation that we're going to do now?

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

Take a deep breath in,

Opening yourself to receiving fully all the benefits of what we're doing right now.

Breathe in deeply,

Noticing how your tummy rises when you breathe in.

Selling notice how your tummy lowers back down towards your spine when you exhale.

Repeat these conscious breaths three times,

Noticing the rising and the falling of your belly,

Observing internally through sensing the movements of your tummy.

This is called embodied self-awareness,

And we're practicing specifically embodied gut awareness.

Notice how your tummy feels.

Does it feel contracted or expansive?

Does it feel tight or soft?

Is it easy to expand your belly,

Or do you feel resistance to expanding and elongating?

Observe how you feel as you expand your tummy.

Notice the sensations in your belly.

Regardless of what you feel,

Continue to feel.

Sometimes the mind gets distracted.

Sometimes it's painful to feel,

Or it feels uncomfortable and we want to do something else.

Stick with it.

Stay with yourself.

Keep on listening and feeling yourself.

Keep on observing yourself.

Notice how you feel about observing your belly rising and falling.

Notice if there's any emotions or thoughts that arise from this exercise of simply observing.

Does it feel pleasurable to observe and witness your belly,

Your gut,

Or does it feel uncomfortable?

Is there any resistance to feeling your tummy,

Your center,

Your gut?

Place your right hand over your upper abdomen,

Placing your right hand over your gut.

Ask yourself,

Is there anything that I need to know?

Is there anything my intuition,

My gut feeling wishes to share with me right now?

Is there any message that my body wishes to bring me right now?

Notice what arises.

Notice what flows into your awareness.

There might be something that you need to get done,

Someone you need to call,

Or there might be a wise message that you're now able to hear.

Our gut is a sensor.

It's a place where we can connect to our higher inner wisdom.

Our gut knows what's for our highest good.

The more we practice embodying awareness of our gut,

The easier it would be to communicate,

To understand and feel what it is that we're feeling.

Sometimes we're in our minds,

In our thoughts,

And we don't pay attention to how our body is feeling,

The sensations in our body.

Sometimes we ignore.

And when we do this,

We wind up hurting ourselves.

If we're hungry,

But we're too busy to pay attention to our stomachs,

We become hypoglycemic.

We don't feel good.

Or if our body is trying to signal that it's thirsty,

And we ignore what we feel,

We lose the trust between ourselves.

It's harder to trust ourselves when we don't feel our gut,

Because our gut is constantly giving us information about what's for our highest good.

And so,

When we are able to feel this information and receive it,

And then act upon it,

Our body feels reassured and feels confident with ourselves that we are taking care of ourselves.

But if we don't have that direct connection,

Then we're not able to establish trust.

We lose trust with ourselves.

Take a deep breath in,

Feeling the trust that you're strengthening within yourself through connecting to your gut.

By simply becoming aware,

You're strengthening the connection you have with yourself.

And the nature of this exercise causes you to release tension,

To relax your intestinal wall,

To relax your stomach and restore your organs by simply tuning in and witnessing.

And breathing deeply and expanding,

We're activating our physiology in the direction of healing our gut,

Of trusting our gut.

Practice this exercise daily when you wake up in the morning placing your hand over your tummy,

Feeling your tummy,

Feeling your gut,

And asking it if it has any information or wisdom it wants to share with you.

Tuning in,

Is this food what I really truly want to eat?

Is it good for me?

You can ask your gut,

Is this going to be good for us?

Should I say yes to this or no?

Asking questions is a great way to get information from your body.

Practice this exercise throughout your day and notice how much stronger your connection is to yourself,

To your intuition.

Thank you for making time for yourself today.

Thank you for nurturing your body.

Thank you for connecting to yourself and strengthening the trust between you and your body.

When we walk around feeling trustworthy with ourselves,

With our bodies,

We emanate a frequency of trust and people will come into our lives that feel they can trust us and we will attract trustworthy people into our lives.

It's a win-win situation.

Thank you for cultivating peace,

Cultivating trust,

And cultivating connection with your gut.

Risking suffering and this humanlock.

I felt a very urgent sense of discomfort within my body and didn’t know what it was or how to deal with it. So I spent about an hour trying out different meditations on this app looking for relief, only to find myself feeling more and more overwhelmed and panicked as I tried out different tracks. I was about to just resign and resort to my frozen dissociative state but I decided to give one more track a chance (this one). IT CHANGED MY LIFEEEEEEEEEEWEEEE!!!!!!!! I unexpectedly began to bawl my eyes out, but afterwards I felt such literal exuberant wellbeing that I’m passionately and energetically typing this review lol. Thank you so much. You also have the absolute best voice for guiding me. Wishing you the best! -Melondy
