How to release,
Transform,
And process our emotions.
Did you know that we hold our emotions in our tissues,
In our bodies?
Every memory that we have is stored in our bodies.
When we have a trauma,
A pain,
A hurt,
If we hold on to those feelings and we think about them over and over and over again,
Resentment for example,
When we grieve and we don't allow ourselves to cry or to yell if we're sad that somebody passed away or let's just say that we've had a trauma somebody touched us the wrong way,
We were raped,
Molested,
Or abused,
Or yelled at and we hold our sadness in our bodies and not allow ourselves to feel the pain of our past.
We hold the emotional trauma,
The weight of those emotions in our bodies when that happens.
If you're a person that when you get emotional you let yourself cry or when you start to feel something you allow yourself to feel it and then flow it however that shows up you'll be able to process it easier.
Sometimes we feel emotional and we judge ourselves getting emotional so that's like a double negative.
It makes us store not only the past hurt but also we add on,
We tag on a judgment and that creates another mini hurt because when we hurt ourselves,
When we analyze ourselves,
When we critique ourselves we're actually causing our nervous system to feel more stress.
So a way for us to release and process and transform the weight of our emotions,
The heaviness feeling,
The chronic stress feeling,
The first step is to breathe deeply with your diaphragm and to feel yourself deeply and to support yourself through your feelings to simply feel nourished,
Nurtured,
Safe,
Supported,
Held,
Acknowledged by your own self without any judgment analysis or criticism and a great way to do this is to go outside in nature and to lay down in a comfortable position,
Create an intention,
I am ready,
Willing and able now to feel all of my suppressed feelings and allow them to transmute,
Transform,
Release,
Process through my body,
Through my breath easily and effortlessly and if there's any beautiful blessing,
Opportunity,
Revelation that may come from this experience I'm open to receiving it.
In nature the trees they shed their old dried-up leaves and they fall to the ground and then new little green buds sprout on every branch and they become new leaves and every year this happens there's this change of seasons.
Are you ready,
Willing and able to let go now of all the old dried-up leaves of emotions that you've been holding on to?
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
Get in a comfortable position preferably out in nature and feel the support of Mother Earth beneath you.
Spread your legs hip-width apart bring your arms out palms facing upwards raise your shoulders up towards your ears take a deep breath in,
Exhale roll your shoulders down and back,
Lengthen the crown of your head away from your shoulders feeling your heels lengthening away your feet from the crown of your head your whole body is lengthening.
Exhale release we're gonna turn on our emotional processor in our bodies.
The more relaxed we are we're able to release more whatever we've been holding and that's a reason why sometimes it's really hard for us to relax and be in a very calm state because all this stuff's gonna come up.
So if you're a person that drinks a lot of coffee you're on the go-go-go all the time you might be holding on to a lot of emotional baggage and it might be feel scary to do this exercise but what's wonderful is as you cultivate this practice of showing up for yourself just as you are you're actually teaching yourself how to love yourself unconditionally.
Whether you feel nervous,
Restless,
Uncomfortable,
Allowing yourself to feel comfortable feeling uncomfortable is the first step to complete and total self-acceptance and that guides us to that feeling of complete and total self-love.
As you lay here bring your awareness to your heart breathe deeply into your heart your chest your lungs.
Breathe awareness.
How does my heart feel?
My physical heart,
My emotional heart.
Does my heart feel tense or light?
Are there any emotions that I'm holding here in my heart?
Notice what arises.
Are there any past hurts or traumas that have caused my heart to harden?
I'm ready to release them now from my body.
If anything from my past has been weighing me down I'm ready to feel it and flow it now.
See yourself as a river and allow your breath to flow your emotions to flow you as a river.
Ah exhaling the sound ah.
Ah.
Ah.
I love you heart.
Thank you heart for all that you feel and all that you flow.
See the word optimal freedom in your heart.
Freedom breathing in freedom.
Are you ready willing and able to feel free in your heart free from your past and allow your heart to feel fully present and available now to loving and feeling even more?
Yes yes yes.
Bring your awareness now to your upper belly the area between your ribs and your belly button.
This is another part of the body where we hold a lot of emotions.
If our parents yelled at us as children or if you were maybe scolded yelled at or if you felt ashamed or embarrassed or held back feeling this is an area where we hold tension.
Put your hand on your upper belly and create circles of love over your tummy as you breathe into this area fully expand your belly.
Ah connecting to your gut.
Ah feeling your stomach your liver is here your pancreas your spleen your large intestines and small intestines.
Ah feeling fully the feelings of the organs underneath your skin and your muscle.
How do my organs feel?
How does my gut feel?
Exhaling ah feeling and sounding feeling and sounding and allowing your sounds to be a way of expressing what you're feeling without any thought.
You're simply feeling your body and sounding your body.
What does my tummy sound like if I could express myself through sound feelings the sensations how would that be?
Feeling and expressing noticing the sensations and we're not here to analyze what we feel we're simply feeling witnessing and observing noticing ourselves.
This is a way of being intimate with ourselves it's also a way of connecting to our truth our feelings don't lie our organs don't lie whatever's been there is there and when you hold a space of being that witness for yourself non-judgmentally you're teaching yourself how to be your own best friend an active listener to yourself and what your body is communicating with you.
This builds trust in our own selves so if you have a hard time trusting others this exercise helps you to develop it empowers you to develop more trust with yourself.
The more we develop this it'll be will attract people that we can trust into our lives because whatever we're vibrating at is what we attract so if you would like to attract more people that are trustworthy in your life breathe and feel be there for you lovingly non-judgmentally feel this gift that you're giving yourself right now of total self-acceptance self-witnessing self-observing lovingly regardless of whether your tummy hurts or it feels good whether your heart's aching or it feels open you're showing up for yourself.
If you don't feel accepted or acknowledged appreciated by others this exercise literally creates a magnet for more people to appreciate you and more people to acknowledge you and validate you because you're doing it to yourself and whatever we do to ourselves however we be with ourselves and we feel with ourselves that's what comes into our lives and it happens immediately mmm this exercise of witnessing ourselves non-judgmentally of breathing with our diaphragm expanding on the inhale exhaling ah these are all ways of stimulating our emotional processor our emotional releasing button in our body in our nervous system.
Are you ready willing and able to become an expert at flowing your emotions at releasing your emotional stress easily and effortlessly throughout your day throughout your life yes yes yes receive that ah and are you willing to be there for yourself non-judgmentally consistently show up for yourself as your own best friend yes yes yes and when you get triggered when you get overly overwhelmed with emotion are you willing to be there for yourself and connect to your diaphragm connect to your breath in those moments yes yes yes so rather than run away from something that might be triggering you to feel overwhelmed you can literally think about a river think about what it would feel like if I was a river a waterfall a stream and use your breath place your hand on your heart on your tummy and be there for yourself in that moment I'm getting triggered now I'm getting tense I'm wanting to run away from whatever it is unless it's something that's gonna hurt you like a fire or somebody's you know gonna assault you if it's just your mother-in-law take a deep breath in put your hand on your tummy and feel your trigger remember no one is really trying to hurt you they're hurt and that's why they're hurting you hurt people hurt that's what they do that's what they know allow yourself to be victorious instead of a victim and take responsibility that we're actually attracting what comes into our life because that's what we are we don't get what we want in life we get what we are in life we're magnets attracting what we are when you do this breath and you be there for yourself and you keep flowing your breath and your emotions you become an attractor of people that know how to flow their emotions and then people don't take it out on you and you don't take it out on people taking responsibility for what I'm feeling what I'm thinking not blaming others for how we're feeling we are the ones responsible for our feelings and we're not responsible for other people's feelings that's their responsibility so if you think you're responsible for someone's happiness or if you're the reason somebody's sad they've allowed themselves to be sad they've allowed themselves to be unhappy they're in control of their emotions so are you ready willing and able to take off your shoulders the responsibility the weight of you being responsible in charge of other people's happiness or sadness yes yes yes now we're gonna start to shake our arms this is another emotional release technique shaking your arms shake shake shake pretend that there's ants all over your arms and you're shaking off the ants and allow the shaking to go up into your shoulders so we're shaking our shoulders now as you're laying there you're shaking your shoulders shake shake shake shaking your chest in belly dance we call these heart shimmies shake shake shake shake shake shaking your chest shaking your tailbone right to left right to left your pelvis and shake your legs shaking your legs you can lift your legs up now and shake shake shake there's ants all over your body shaking shaking shaking keep on shaking inhale deeply exhale ah inhale deeply shaking your body even more keep going keep going feel about how motivated you are how inspired you are to shake off that extra weight that you've been carrying this is where you're gonna bring in that commitment hundred percent commitment are you ready willing and able now to shake off whatever has been causing you to hold on to the extra weight whatever tiny little trauma or hurt or belief that you have been holding that is causing you to have a hard time shedding are you willing to let that go now yes yes yes shake even more keep shaking are you willing to be your own source of release now are you willing to lighten up and release once and for all whatever has been weighing you down yes yes yes shake exhale ah slow down now slow down and if there's any part of you that is resisting letting go of the extra weight are you willing to let go of the resistance of letting go of the extra weight yes yes yes ah lean back let your body rest now completely passive feel the support of Mother Earth beneath you feel the support of our divine creator you've already released it whatever has been holding you back you've already let it go you said yes and if there's still any little parts that are in need of releasing are you willing to let go of those now yes yes yes there you go once and for all ah feel lightness see the word optimal lightness breathing in optimal lightness into every cell of your being your DNA and RNA are vibrating now optimal lightness feel light see a white eagle flying high feel how light that eagle feels that's you that's your reality now optimal lightness you are fully released now you are fully transformed now from your past are you willing to accept this and receive all the gifts and blessings of this practice today yes yes yes breathing in the words total self-acceptance total self-acceptance feel a smile on your face of total self-acceptance are you willing to embody lightness in every cell of your being now yes yes yes embody lightness breathing in your light river that flows your white eagle that flies high with an open heart and a relaxed gut and an energized body thank you for making the time to be whole and present with yourself to connect to all the parts of who you are your body your mind your soul your energetic body know that now you are a magnet for lightness a light simple and easy life when you feel this way and you live this way feeling this way this is what you attract are you ready willing and able to attract simple easy and light living and to flow the heaviness moments and to feel everything and come back to your breath and flow everything so that you can stay connected to your true nature that is energy that is dynamic and in constant motion yes yes yes that is love and acceptance that is kindness and compassion yes yes yes ah give yourself a big hug feel the love that you are feel yourself completely and if right now you're feeling emotional or if you're feeling not love love that part of you too there might be a part of us still holding on that is resisting the release and that's okay too this is just simply about loving ourselves in whatever way that we show up and sometimes that's joy and sometimes that's bitterness and it's all simply a different type of weather remember that you're so loved by our Creator remember that you were created on purpose and lean back into that love that you are and that you are constantly being loved all you have to do is be open to receiving it whether you want to call it God creator your angels saints your grandma that may be passed away that you feel her or an aunt or your parents choose to receive all the love that you are and all the love that is being given to you constantly our breath is a way of receiving love we're being given oxygen life force thank you nature thank you so much nature for loving me so much to make oxygen for me to live practice these different techniques that we've reviewed today throughout your day throughout your life to keep you processing your emotional energy and whatever stuck emotions you might have been holding on to from the past the more you do this practice you lay down and you go outside and you do this meditation the easier it's gonna feel for you to do it we're exercising our emotional releasing muscles and it's gonna be much easier to shed weight your body's gonna reflect physically what you have done emotionally and energetically immediately it's amazing let me know how this benefits you share with us for we go through these things to teach each other to inspire each other to benefit one another This was deeply nourishing to my nervous system. It was gentle and gave me real life practices to use outside of the meditation to regulate myself if I need to later on. I cannot recommend this enough if you have experienced trauma or suffer from adrenal burnout/fatigue.
