Begin to find yourself in this moment,
And let the parts of you that want to slow down begin to slow down.
Give yourself the time you need to arrive.
Begin to meet yourself in the now,
Letting the past be in the past,
Letting the future be in the future.
Find your breath,
Nice deep inhale.
Notice if your mind is beginning to slow down,
If your mind has been leading things lately,
Maybe you'd like to offer a little bit of gentle movement to your head and neck,
Moving the head from side to side,
Or just sitting in stillness.
James Lowe writes,
Presence is not an activity,
It's an availability.
As you take this time for yourself,
Notice what brings you to a sense of availability.
How do you begin to open?
Let yourself be led by the experience,
Rather than leading the experience here.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Let yourself observe your awareness,
What are you experiencing in this moment,
What sensations do you feel,
Maybe you notice patterns of thinking,
A turn to your breath,
Let yourself settle into the ease of this present moment,
You are here now,
There is nothing else to do,
Just allow yourself to be opening to presence.
As you sit with presence,
Get curious,
What do you need a little more of today,
Let the information come through your senses,
Feeling the peace of this moment,
Letting that be your guide.
As you find your way back to presence,
You're slowing the momentum of the world around you,
Coming back home to yourself,
Remember that presence is not an activity,
It is an availability,
And you can always come back to it in any moment that you need to.
Take a moment now to consider how you might like to move into the next part of your day,
Bringing the ease of this moment with you.
Let's take another breath together,
Inhaling and exhaling,
Letting your body guide you gently back into a little movement if that feels right,
Bringing a gentle sense of peace with you as you make your way back into the room,
And know that you can carry this with you through the rest of your day,
Taking a moment to find presence,
Feel where you are,
How you are,
And give yourself a breath,
Go gently my friend,
From my heart to yours.
