Before you shrink,
Before you quiet your voice,
Round your edges,
Or question your place in the room,
Pause and come back to this truth.
You are allowed to take up space,
Not just physically,
But energetically,
Emotionally,
Spiritually.
You're not too much,
You're not in the way,
You're here,
And that's enough reason to expand.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine all the ways you've made yourself smaller,
Melting off your shoulders.
That heavy armor,
You don't need it today.
You don't need to dim your light to be more likable.
You don't need to edit yourself to be digestible.
You don't need to earn the right to take up space,
You inherently have it.
So today,
Speak up,
Say no,
Say yes,
Say nothing,
And let your presence still be enough.
You are not here to perform,
You are not here to fit someone else's mold.
Repeat this with me.
Today I take up space.
My energy is allowed to be felt.
My truth is allowed to be heard.
My presence is more than enough.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your heart lift.
Let your feet ground into this moment,
Bold,
Rooted,
And free.
Today you take up space,
And you do it without apology.
