Welcome.
Find a comfortable posture,
Allowing your body to settle.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and a long,
Gentle exhale through your mouth.
Bring your full attention to your breath.
Notice the cool air entering your nose and the warm air leaving.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest with each inhale and exhale.
Your breath is an anchor.
Always present.
Always bringing you back to this moment.
Let go of any thoughts about the past or future and simply rest your awareness on this natural rhythm.
If your mind wanders,
That's perfectly normal.
Gently guide your attention back.
To the sensation of your breath.
Without judgment.
Now,
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Bring your awareness to your body.
Notice any areas where you might be holding tension,
Perhaps in your shoulders,
Jaw,
Or forehead.
With each exhale,
Imagine that tension softening.
Melting away like ice dissolving in warm water.
Allow your muscles to relax,
Releasing any tightness.
Feel a wave of calm washing over you.
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
You are safe.
You are still.
You are calm.
As we near the end of this brief practice,
Gently widen your awareness to include the sounds around you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing gentle movement back into your body.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Carrying this renewed sense of calm and presence into the rest of your day.
And thank you for taking this moment for yourself.
