So just finding yourself seated and bringing your awareness to your breath,
Noticing that your breath is at your lungs.
You're inhaling until the lungs are completely filled,
Exhaling until they're completely emptied.
Doing a body scan,
Noticing how your body is feeling from the head down through the neck to the shoulders and arms,
Through your torso,
Abdomen,
And your legs.
In this body scan,
Noticing your nervous system,
If you feel jittery or calm or something in between.
Noticing your heartbeat.
Sometimes,
We can feel our blood pressure,
If it's feeling high or low.
Getting a sense of how many thoughts are in your head right now,
And whether your head and your body are integrated.
Noticing the distracting thoughts in your head,
Saying hello to them,
Thanking these thoughts for all they do for you.
Our thoughts maintain our to-do lists.
Our thoughts prioritize our lives.
Our thoughts juggle the many different needs and wants that we have.
Our thoughts are like a bunch of file folders,
Filing and organizing our past,
The experiences,
The memories of the different feelings we had.
File folders of the future,
What could happen,
What might happen,
What we want to have happen,
What we don't want to happen.
And we thank our minds for doing such a good job organizing,
Managing,
Collating,
Prioritizing.
And we smile at our minds and welcome our minds to take a break.
And your mind thinks that that sounds nice,
But also is worried about the pile of incoming information that won't get sorted if it takes a break.
So we reach out and give a little pat to our brain and say,
It's okay,
You really can rest.
Your brain just lets out an exhale.
When the brain relaxes,
These distracting thoughts start to dissipate.
More space in the head,
More space between thoughts.
Your thoughts start to let go of time.
They let go of the now,
Now,
Now energy.
They get let go of what was in the past and the future.
When your mind lets go of time,
There's more space for different possibilities to flow in.
There's more space for the to-do list to happen when it feels right.
When we have more time,
We can choose when to ignite certain ideas.
And as we loosen up these thoughts in our head,
We find our awareness shifting downward towards the heart.
And you might find that your heart and brain are connecting.
As you inhale,
The heart connects upward to the brain.
And as you exhale,
The brain connects downward to the heart.
With every breath,
The heart and brain are connected.
Some of these thoughts in your head travel downward into the heart.
They ask the heart to simply feel.
Feel your thoughts instead of thinking them.
I have to get this thing done now,
Now,
Now.
We bring that thought down to the heart and you simply feel what it feels like to do or not do that action.
Thinking about somebody who wronged you 20 years ago.
And when we bring that thought down to the heart,
We get to feel how we felt at that time.
And through that feeling,
We get to process.
Bringing the thoughts about the future into your heart of what could be.
And you get to feel if it's exciting for you or if it feels like drudgery.
And we connect our heart up to the mind on the inhaling breath.
The heart is this vibration of being present.
And we're bringing that presence up to all of your thoughts.
What should I do?
What shouldn't I do?
What happened?
And that present moment comes in and brings you back to now.
What am I doing now?
How am I feeling now?
Bringing your heart energy up to your mind.
Welcomes you to shift your focus to the power you have in this moment.
We've been diluting our energy,
Diluting our power.
By sending it into the past and the future.
Allowing what happened to have too much power over you.
And what you choose right now.
Allowing the future,
Which isn't even set in stone,
To have all of our energy.
And instead,
We bring our power,
Our energy,
Our focus to right now.
The heart connecting up to the mind is bringing our ability to feel.
And welcoming our thoughts to be guided by our feelings.
Welcoming our thoughts to be guided by compassion.
Welcoming our thoughts to be guided by joy,
Excitement,
Passionate ideas.
And as we open this corridor between the heart and the brain,
We welcome harmony and a balance.
The brain is a brilliant organ.
Logic and thought helps us to accomplish so much.
And we welcome the heart to be in charge.
Where we feel,
Where we can be.
Where we know what is the truth in this moment.
And we welcome the heart to be the manager.
To be the boss,
The king over this brain.
Thank you brain for all that you do.
And you are also welcome to rest.
And we bring our awareness just below the navel.
A couple inches below the navel.
To the space that houses our vital energy,
Our vitality,
Our motivation.
And as we inhale,
We're bringing all of the universal energy into this space below the navel.
And we exhale back out into the world.
Noticing this universal energy all around you.
This fuel.
And we inhale and draw in all of the energy.
Refresh chi from the universe.
We're inhaling the yang energy of the sun.
It's bright and excited.
Ready to do things.
Ready to create.
And we inhale the yin energy.
Just being the moon.
Calming,
Soothing and restful.
The yang energy is this healthy food.
Vegetables straight from the vine.
Full of nutrients and color.
The yang energy is the water.
Fresh and clean.
Structured from flowing over the rocks.
And these fuel your body.
Provide the nourishment.
That this physical body needs.
And the yin energy is just being.
Being in the moment.
Getting a good night's sleep.
The restful space where you can digest.
And sort.
And flow.
Inhaling as you bring all the energy of the universe.
Into this lower navel area.
Exhaling back out into the universe.
Below the navel is where we have our physical body energy.
We have that spark to take action.
That motivation.
To get up and go and do.
And we begin to connect the brain.
With this space below the navel.
We inhale from below the navel up through the body to the brain.
And we exhale from the brain.
Down below the navel.
It's called the lower dantian.
Just below the navel.
We inhale up to the brain.
We exhale down to the lower dantian.
Below the navel.
Up in this brain we have all of these thoughts and ideas.
Things we want to do.
We have the to do list.
We have the knowledge of how it happened in the past and what could happen in the future.
And as we exhale we're connecting the brain down to.
This energy center below the navel.
Bringing our ideas to our ability to act on them.
The brain is going through the heart.
This present moment and down below the navel.
The action.
All the thoughts.
I would like to do all these things on my to do list.
Bringing them through the present moment of what is right now.
Bringing them down to that spark in your body.
To ignite the idea.
And as we bring these thoughts from your brain into the heart.
The heart is a filter.
It's determining the priority in the now moment.
It's determining what brings joy and excitement.
And fills you.
And as that brain energy goes through the heart.
Down to this lower dantian at the navel.
There's another filter.
Where this space below the navel gets to decide what to ignite.
What to apply the spark to.
If you imagine a lighter.
If you're able to push the button or flick the lighter and hold it.
You'll receive one strong flame.
A strong flame of motivation.
Of focus.
There's so much vitality in this flame.
And it's able to literally ignite anything.
And then we notice.
The lighter that you're trying to flick.
And light 100 different fires at the same time.
Where you flick it and start the flame.
But you don't hold it in one spot long enough.
To ignite.
Before flicking it on another idea and another and another.
And eventually you find that.
Very few of these ideas are being ignited.
And the lighter is out of juice.
Feeling depleted.
We're connecting this lower dantian.
This space below your navel up to the brain.
We're inhaling your igniter up to the brain.
You're bringing your.
Athletic energy.
Up through the heart to the brain.
You're bringing resilience and a perseverance.
From the space below the navel all the way up to your brain.
This energy of I want to do something.
I want to take action.
Oftentimes we sit in front of a computer.
For hours and hours on end.
And when we're done we're focused on our cell phones.
Responding to text.
Emails or vegging out.
But there's this fire.
In your lower abdomen.
That wants to ignite something.
It wants to go for a run.
It wants to create.
It wants to have laughter.
So we welcome your lower dantian below the navel.
To harmonize.
With this heart space and with this mind.
We notice that we're inhaling from below the navel up to the heart.
And up to the brain.
We're exhaling from this brain the mind down to the heart.
And down below the navel.
And we're watching our breath as we go up and down.
Energetically connecting.
These energy centers in your body.
And we welcome your heart to be the boss.
To be in charge.
Your heart filters through all the thoughts in your brain.
And chooses joy.
And sends a singular focus down below your navel.
To ignite those activities.
That bring joy.
And as we do that there's a little bit of a rest.
Rest that's happening in the brain and in the lower abdomen.
When the brain knows that the heart will filter it.
The brain doesn't have to try so hard.
Doesn't have to make all the decisions.
It can rest.
And just watch and see what the heart chooses for this now moment.
And the space just below your navel gets to rest.
It's still creating sparks.
Still creating flames.
But it's focused.
Not depleted trying to light everything all at once.
But focused and clear and calm.
While the heart does what it does best.
The heart is your soul.
It's your essence.
And your heart now has the freedom to choose.
The freedom to direct.
The freedom to align with your true self.
And what fuels you.
There's a welcoming to release judgment.
The judgments about all these thoughts in our head.
All of the to-do lists.
Judgments about what I should be doing.
What I could be doing.
Why am I procrastinating?
Why don't I feel motivated?
And we're trying to force our brain to motivate into getting more done.
But there's no ignition point for these thoughts in our head.
Down in our lower dantian,
Below the navel,
There's all the ignition.
But an uncertainty about what to motivate to do.
How to prioritize.
Where to focus this physical body energy.
This oomph,
This get up and go.
We start running in this direction and that.
Turning around,
Getting distracted.
Running in circles.
So as we let go of the judgments in our head.
Let go of this lost energy in our abdomen.
We simply welcome our heart.
To whisper quietly.
Whisper the priorities in this now moment to the brain.
Whisper.
Blowing gentle air on the flames.
Directing them.
And you find absolute cohesion.
Absolute integration.
In this now moment.
Aligning your motivation with your thoughts.
In this present moment.
And we set the intention to move forward in our lives.
From this space.
