Welcome.
My name is Leah.
And this is a medicinal yoga nidra practice that is supportive for the gentle awakening season of spring.
And the gentle arc of energy moving from stagnation.
To flow.
To clarity.
And direction.
This yoga nidra practice is inspired by the wood element in traditional Chinese medicine.
Connected to the season of spring.
The liver and gallbladder.
And the deep wisdom that runs like sap through our own bodies.
The healing sound we will be working with is shoe,
Like the shoe on your foot.
Settle into a comfortable position lying down.
Support it.
And before closing your eyes,
You may consider an eye covering to block out any light.
Arms resting beside you palms facing upward without touching anything.
And feeling the space around your feet and toes as well.
And make sure that you're supremely comfortable.
Notice the breath as it moves in and out,
Natural and unforced.
With each exhale,
Release any residual tension.
And with each inhale,
Invite a sense of renewal.
Spring carries the energy of wood.
New growth.
Direction.
And gentle expansion.
There's an impulse to move forward.
But also a need for softness and flow.
Allow yourself to arrive fully,
Without effort.
Let the body grow heavy and find ease.
Soften the forehead,
The eyes,
The jaw.
Let the tongue rest.
Shoulders softening downward.
Chest softening belly releasing hips,
Legs and feet settling completely.
Imagine the body like soil after winter.
Receptive and ready to support new life.
Breath becoming smooth and quiet.
The nervous system beginning to settle.
Bring awareness to the heart space and let an intention arise.
One that supports clarity,
Flow,
And wise direction.
You may use your own intention or sankalpa.
Or you may borrow this intention.
I move forward with ease and clarity.
Or I trust my inner direction.
Repeat your sankalpa silently three times,
Planting it like a seed in fertile ground.
I move forward with ease and clarity.
I trust my inner direction.
We begin the rotation of awareness in the liver on the right side of the body beneath the ribs Bring awareness to the liver and imagine a green gentle light glowing there.
Vibrant and alive.
Right lobe of the liver.
Left low.
The whole organ.
Warm,
Nourished.
Pulsing with life.
Allow the green light to spread into the ribcage.
The diaphragm.
The abdomen.
Right side of the body.
Right shoulder.
Upper arm.
Elbow.

Breathe a slow breath up the spine.
And a long exhale down the spine to the tailbone.
Hips,

Nestled behind the front teeth.
Cheeks.
Bridge of the nose.
Nostril flares all around and behind the eyes.
Eyelashes.
Eyebrows and the space between the eyebrows.
Across the forehead.
Energy spiraling around the crown of the head.
And now sense the entire body bathed in a soft green vitality.
Vibrant and alive.
Bring awareness again to the liver space.
And as you inhale,
Feel the breath gently expanding the ribs and the abdomen.
As you exhale,
Mentally whisper the healing sound.
She's real.
Like shoe.
Inhaling softly.
And exhaling with.
.
.
Long and smooth,
Releasing any stagnation or tightness.
Continue this steady rhythm inhaling and exhaling.
Inhaling Exhaling.
.
.
With each exhale,
Imagine excess heat.
Frustration or tension dissolving.
Replaced by a smooth flow of ease.
Let the breath and sound become continuous,
Like a breeze moving through spring leaves.
Now begin to notice the emotional field within.
The liver is connected to the flow of emotions.
Especially the transformation of frustration into clarity.
If you sense any tightness,
Irritability or pressure.
Simply observe it.
Like wind moving through branches.
Allow emotions to shift and pass.
Sense the possibility of emotional fluidity.
Nothing is stuck.
Everything is gently moving.
Imagine yourself walking through a spring landscape.
Green shoots emerging from the earth trees budding,
Life returning.
There is a path before you,
Gently unfolding.
The gallbladder offers direction.
Clear and responsive.
You sense that you don't need to rush.
Each step reveals the next.
Notice how vision arises naturally when the system is relaxed.
Rest in this knowing.
That you are being guided from within.
Now rest in the quiet joy of aliveness.
There is a subtle sense of expansion like buds opening towards the light You are part of this movement of life.
Effortlessly natural and whole.
Return to your Sankalpa.
You may have borrowed the intention I move forward with ease and clarity.
Or,
I trust my inner direction.
Repeat it three times,
Gently and clearly,
Letting it settle into the body like nourishment.
I move forward with ease and clarity.
Or I trust my inner direction.
Begin to bring awareness back to the breath.
Feel the body resting on the ground sense the liver space once more.
Calm and balanced.
Flowing.
Notice the clarity and steadiness within.
Begin to deepen the breath Gently move your fingers and toes.
Giving yourself a stretch and If it's feeling good and you're ready,
You can roll to one side and just pause there.
Take a slow deep breath in.
And a long exhale out.
And only when you're ready.
Come to a seated position.
Hands at the heart or resting on your right side just beneath the ribs over the liver Thank you so much for sharing your yoga nidra practice with me today.
