
Subtle Body Activation
For most of us humans, it feels natural to identify with the physical body and the thoughts, feelings, and sensations associated with the physical body. We’ve been taught to do that. It’s easy to get caught up in that limited sense of who you are and feel boxed in by it. So, it can be profoundly liberating to sense the wider layers of your being, your energy body, soul body, soul group, community of Life, and Source. To feel your Oneness with all that is and know you are not confined by the egoic consciousness of your physical self. As you realize this, you naturally feel more connected with others, Life, and the Source of Life.

Subtle body activation.
Let's begin with a simplified map of your subtle bodies.
This is not the only way to look at these layers of your being.
There are many maps and systems,
Each with their own names and organization.
This simple map will serve as a guide to help you feel the multi-layered nature of your being.
We'll move from the most dense to the most subtle.
The first body we'll feel into is the physical body and the thoughts,
Feelings,
And sensations associated with it.
The physical body exists within the energy body,
Which gives it life and serves as a template that patterns its form and function.
The energy body exists within the soul body,
Which gives you a home frequency,
A signature vibration that includes the scope of your purposes in this life.
Your soul body exists within a soul group made of beings that resonate with your home frequency.
Your soul group in turn exists within the communal field of all life,
And this whole field of life arises within one formless consciousness,
Source of all.
You can imagine and feel all these bodies sequentially nested within each other,
From the most dense to the most subtle.
As you move into this practice,
Focus on the felt sensory quality of these bodies.
See if you can let go of trying to figure this out conceptually and feel into how these bodies arise in your felt experience.
Feel into them and see what you discover.
Approach this practice with mindful curiosity,
Being open and non-judgmental toward whatever presents itself.
Let's start by sitting comfortably upright with the soles of your feet firmly on the ground.
Rest your hands,
Palms cupped in your lap,
With the tips of your thumbs touching lightly in an open,
Receptive posture.
Lightly close your eyes.
Take a moment to settle in your seat and be present in your body.
Notice your physical body and any thoughts,
Feelings,
And sensations arising in your physical body.

So it can be profoundly liberating to sense the wider layers of your being,
Your energy body,

Soul group,
Community of life,
And source.
To feel your oneness with all that is and know you are not confined by the egoic consciousness of your physical self.
As you realize this,
You naturally feel more connected with others,
Life,
And the source of life.
So,
As you enter this practice,
Consider dedicating it to the benefit of all beings,
That we all might come to a greater realization of who we are,
Our connection to each other,
And our oneness with our source.
With this intention in mind,
Feel down into the sensation of contact of the soles of your feet on the ground.
Awaken sensory awareness here in your feet and your toes,
And allow your feet to soften and relax,
As if they're melting deep down into the earth.
Feel the grounded presence of the earth underneath you,
And smile to the earth with gratitude for grounding,
Supporting,
And providing.
Allow the feeling of grounded presence to flow up through the soles of your feet,
Up through your shins and calves,
Up through your knees and thighs,
Into your hips and pelvic bowl,
Resting down in your seat.
Feel the weight of your body resting down in your seat,
Resting down on the earth.
Focus into your palms and fingers resting cupped in your lap.
Awaken sensory awareness here in your hands,
And allow your hands to soften and relax,
As if they're melting down into your legs.
Feel the soft openness in your hands,
Connected to the soft openness of your heart.
As your hands relax even more,
Allow your arms and shoulders to relax down,
Releasing any tension from your shoulders,
Neck,
And your head.
Imagine and feel as if a string is attached to the top of your head,
Drawing your spine gently upright,
Like a string of luminous pearls.
Feel your spine gently stretched from your perineum and tailbone,
Right up the top of your head,
Like a stream of light flowing upwards,
Up through your spine,
Up through the center of your brain,
Through the top of your head,
And opening to the vast clear sky above.
Feel the vast openness of the sky,
Opening your mind.
Tuck your chin just slightly,
Gently lengthening the back of your neck,
And allow your hands to soften and relax down,
As if they're melting down into your head.
Feel the soft openness in your hands,
Connecting to the soft openness of your head,
And allowing your hands to soften and relax down,
As if they're melting down into your head.
Feel the soft openness in your hands,
Connecting to the soft openness of your head,
And allowing your hands to soften and relax down,
As if they're melting down into your head.
Feel the soft openness in your vagus nerve,
In the center of your brain.
As you soften and relax your tongue even more,
Feel this relaxation in the center of your brain.
Feel it flowing down through your vagus nerve,
Down through your neck,
Down through your heart,
Relaxing,
Releasing any tension around your heart.
Feel it flowing down through your abdomen,
Relaxing,
Releasing any tension in your abdomen and lower back.
Feel this relaxation flowing out through your whole torso,
Head,
Arms,
And legs.
As you enjoy this feeling of relaxed aliveness,
Smile,
A subtle smile of calm happiness,
Of appreciation and gratitude,
For this time to tune in to your subtle bodies,
Within and all around,
To gain a deeper felt sense of the different layers of your being,
That exist all together at once,
At all moments.
Allow the feeling of smiling to shine out through your eyes,
Brightening awareness,
And release any tension from your eyebrows and your forehead.
Allow this relaxed feeling of smiling to wash down from the top of your head,
Down through your brain,
Down over your face,
Down the back of your head,
Washing down through your neck,
Shoulders,
Arms,
And hands,
Down through your chest and upper back,
Your abdomen and lower back,
Down through your hips,
Legs,
And feet.
Feel your body as a whole,
From the inside,
Filled with pure positive energy,
As if every cell is smiling,
Shining,
Bright with alive presence.
Feel the alive presence shining out through every cell,
All the way out through the pores of your skin.
Feel this alive presence infusing,
Surrounding,
And encapsulating your physical body.
This is your energy body,
The blueprint that enlivens and gives form to your physical body.
The energy body has an intelligence that guides the function of every cell.
Feel into your energy body.
Notice its felt sensory quality,
And feel if there's anywhere that is calling for attention in your energy body.
If so,
Tune into and be with that.
Allow it to express,
Shift,
And move in whatever way happens naturally.
Now feel out from the energy body into the wider,
Surrounding soul body.
Feel the soul body infusing and surrounding your energy body,
Which in turn infuses and surrounds your physical body.
Feel into your soul body.
Notice the slightly finer frequency of your soul body in relation to your energy body and your physical body.
Feel out into your soul body and rest your attention here.
Your soul body houses your home frequency,
The frequency which resonates with your soul's being and purposes.
Tune in to your home frequency,
This natural frequency of your being.
Feel your home frequency centered in your spiritual heart,
And radiating out through your physical energy and soul bodies.
Feel the frequency of who you are as an individualized consciousness.
Melt into that.
Feel the relaxed ease of being who you are,
And notice whatever comes through to you as you rest in your home frequency,
In your soul body,
Attuning with this layer of your being.
Now feel out more widely into your soul group.
Beings of all kinds that naturally resonate with your home frequency.
Feel the presence of your soul group.
Your soul group is always here.
You are always residing with this group.
Notice the felt quality of your soul group,
And what it's like to be with them.
Feel the warm embrace of this connection.
Your soul group is included in the community of all life,
The one life we all share,
Which includes beings of all kinds,
Plants,
Animals,
All of nature,
All humans,
Beings in all dimensions.
Feel out into the whole field of life.
Feel the frequency of life itself.
Sense your connection,
Your oneness with all of life.
Feel out in all directions through the wholeness of life,
Through countless galaxies and dimensions.
Feel everything and everyone,
Everywhere,
All at once.
This one life we all share arises from and within one formless consciousness,
Source of all.
So now feel out beyond all that is,
Into that within which this all arises,
Prior to space and time,
Prior to names and forms,
Without any edges or boundaries,
Without beginning or end,
Indefinable,
Almost like nothing at all,
No inside,
No outside,
Vast source.
Dissolve into that,
Like dissolving in a warm bath of being.
Now feel your spiritual heart as a center of source,
A center of the infinite love that gives birth to all that is.
Feel the one life we all share arising within this vastness.
Feel your soul group arising within that.
Tune in to your soul frequency within your soul group.
Feel your energy body within your soul body and your physical body within that.
These nested layers of being arising in vastness,
Each layer arising within and infused by the others,
Inseparably one.
They are all always present.
They coexist as different dimensions of being,
Simultaneously arising each moment.
Here,
Integrated and centered in your heart,
Feel all these layers at once and notice how you feel.
If you could sum up this feeling in a word,
Phrase or an image,
What would this be?
Record this feeling in every cell.
Really soak it in.
Let it saturate your being so you remember it.
Cultivate it.
Bring it with you and share it wherever you go,
With everyone you meet,
All of whom are also expressions of this vast unity of being,
This one consciousness we all share.
Feel deep trust and peace in this knowing.
