
Six Healing Sounds For Health & Harmony
This practice supports healthy organs, harmonious functioning of all your cells, and the feeling of living in the peaceful harmonious Field of the One Life we all share. Drawn from the tradition of Qigong, this meditation uses inner smiling, together with sound, color, and the yin organs of the body: the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, spleen, and the triple warmer, which can be imagined as a container for these organs. Each organ has a pair of associated emotions, as well as a color and sound. As we move through each organ in this meditation, you can also place your hands over them to enhance the feeling. Enjoy!

The purpose of this practice is to support healthy organs,
Harmonious functioning of all your cells,
And the feeling of living in the peaceful,
Harmonious field of the one life we all share.
This practice is drawn from the tradition of Qigong and uses sound and color with the yin organs of the body,
The heart,
Lungs,
Liver,
Kidneys,
Spleen,
And the triple warmer,
Which can be imagined as a container for these organs.
Each organ has a pair of associated emotions,
As well as a color and sound.
As we move through each organ in this meditation,
You can also place your hands over them to enhance the feeling.
Let's begin with cues for posture,
Relaxation,
And positive energy.
Sit comfortably upright,
With the soles of your feet firmly on the ground,
So you're nicely grounded down through your legs.
Rest your hands cupped in your lap,
With the tips of your thumbs touching lightly.
Lightly close your eyes.
Take a moment to settle in your seat and become present in your body.
Notice anything you're carrying with you into this meditation.
Any thoughts on your mind?
Maybe you're carrying emotions with you from the day.
You don't have to try to stop that or fix that.
Just allow yourself to be just as you are.
The attitude of Qigong is always relaxed naturalness,
So just allow yourself to be just as you are.
Feel out into the space all around you as a sacred space,
A safe space that embraces you.
Notice how your body begins to relax as you sit in this safe,
Sacred space.
Now,
Consider your intention for this practice.
Why is this important to you?
This is a powerful practice for supporting the health of all your internal organs,
And also for mental-emotional health,
Because each of your organs carries specific emotions.
So,
This is a way to work with them,
Release them,
And transform them.
So,
Consider your intention in this practice.
Consider that the effect of this practice extends to all your loved ones,
To everyone you interact with,
And even more widely and invisibly to all beings,
Our whole planet,
And throughout our collective consciousness,
And all that is.
You are part of a greater whole,
And your state of consciousness contributes to the whole.
So,
Consider dedicating this practice to the well-being of all beings.
Now,
It's become even more relaxed and present in our bodies.
Focus down into the feeling of contact of the soles of your feet on the ground.
Awaken sensory awareness here in your feet and your toes,
And allow them to soften and relax,
As if they are melting deep down into the earth.
Feel the solid support and grounding presence of the earth underneath you.
And thank the earth for supporting your life.
Allow that feeling of grounded presence to flow up through the soles of your feet,
Up through your shins and calves,
Up through your knees and thighs,
Into your hips and pelvic bowl,
Resting down in your seat.
Feel the weight of your body resting down in your pelvic bowl,
Resting down in your seat,
Resting down on the earth.
Focus into your palms and fingers resting cupped in your lap.
Awaken sensory awareness here in your hands,
And allow your hands to soften and relax,
As if they are melting down into your legs.
Feel the soft openness in your hands,
Connected to the soft openness in your heart.
As your hands relax even more,
Allow your arms and shoulders to relax down,
Releasing any tension in your shoulders,
Your neck,
And your head.
Imagine and feel as if there's a string attached to the top of your head,
Drawing your spine gently upright,
Like a string of luminous pearls.
Feel your spine gently stretched from your perineum and tailbone,
Right up through the top of your head,
Like a stream of light flowing upwards,
Right up through the top of your head.
Feel the tingling aliveness at the top of your head.
Opening to the vast sky above.
Tuck your chin just slightly to gently lengthen the back of your neck.
Lightly close your lips and breathe in and out through your nose.
Rest your tongue upon the roof of your mouth,
With the tip of your tongue touching the gum line behind your upper front teeth.
Soften and relax your tongue here.
Softening your tongue sends a relaxation signal through your vagus nerve,
From the center of your brain,
Down through your heart,
Your abdomen,
And out through your whole body.
As you feel this wave of relaxation,
Smile,
A subtle smile of calm happiness,
Of appreciation and gratitude,
For this time to tune in to your internal organs.
Relax deeply and cultivate harmony within and all around.
Allow the feeling of smiling to shine through your eyes,
And release any tension from your eyebrows and your forehead.
Allow this feeling of smiling to wash down from the top of your head,
Down through your brain,
Down through your neck,
And into your heart.
Smile into your heart,
And thank your heart for all it does to support your health and well-being.
If you'd like,
You can place your hands over your heart to enhance the sensation here.
The color for your heart is ruby red.
The pair of emotions is hatred,
Love,
And the sound is ah,
Like an H-U-H sound vocalized up in the back of your upper palate,
And felt through your heart.
As you breathe in through your nose,
Feel as if you are breathing into your heart,
And as you breathe out,
Vocalize the H-U-H through your heart,
Feeling as if you are releasing any hatred or any sense of burden that you are carrying in your heart.
Breathe into your heart,
And breathe out,
Releasing any hatred or feeling of burden from your heart.
Continue breathing and vocalizing in this way,
Really feeling into your heart.
Breathe in,
And breathe out,
Feeling relief of any burdens,
Any hatred.
Now,
Breathe in and out through your nose,
And smile into your heart.
Breathe the color ruby red into your heart,
And feel love saturating your heart as you exhale.
Smile as you feel love and ruby red saturating your heart.
Feel love radiating from your heart outwards in all directions,
Out through every cell,
Out through the space all around you,
And out through the whole field.
Smile,
Ruby red,
With love saturating your heart and radiating outwards in all directions.
Now,
Move to your lungs.
If you'd like,
You can place your hands on your chest,
Over your lungs,
On either side of your heart.
Smile into your lungs,
And thank them for all they do to support your health and well-being.
The emotions of your lungs are sadness or grief and joy.
The color is pearl white,
And the sound is sssssssss.
Breathe in through your nose,
Deeply into your lungs,
And as you breathe out,
Let go of any sadness or grief with the sound sssssss.
Breathe in deeply into your lungs,
Filling them up,
And breathe out sssss.
Releasing any sadness or grief.
Now,
Smile into your lungs again,
And breathe in and out through your nose.
Breathe the color pearl white into your lungs.
And as you breathe out,
Feel joy saturating your lungs.
Smile.
Joy.
Saturating your lungs.
And radiating outward through your whole body,
Through the space all around you,
And out through the whole field.
Smile.
Pure joy,
Saturating your lungs,
And radiating outward in all directions.
Now,
To your liver.
Focus down on your right side at the base of your ribs in front.
If you'd like,
You can place your right hand over your liver.
Smile into your liver,
And thank it for all it does to support your health and well-being.
The emotions for the liver are anger and kindness.
The color is emerald green,
And the sound is ssssss.
Breathe in through your nose into your liver,
And as you breathe out,
Release any anger from your liver in your out-breath with the sound sssss.
Continue breathing deeply into your liver,
And breathing out,
Letting go of any anger in your out-breath,
Sssss.
Cleansing your liver,
Releasing any anger,
Letting go.
Breathing in,
And breathing out,
Sssss.
Now,
Breathe calmly in and out through your nose.
Smile to your liver.
Seeing it saturated with the color emerald green,
And the feeling of kindness.
See and feel your liver glowing emerald green,
Saturated with the feeling of kindness,
Warming and softening your liver.
Feel kindness radiating outward from your liver through your whole body,
Through the space all around,
And out in all directions through the whole field.
Now,
To your kidneys.
Focus on both sides of your spine,
At the base of your ribs and back.
If you'd like to,
And you are able,
You can place the back of your hands on your back,
With your thumbs touching the area of your kidneys.
Smile into your kidneys,
And thank them for all they do to support your health and well-being.
The emotions here are fear and peace or tranquility.
The color is sapphire blue,
And the sound is chuuuuu.
Breathe in through your nose into your kidneys,
And breathe out through your kidneys with the sound chuuuuu,
Releasing any fear from your kidneys.
Continue.
Breathe into your kidneys,
And breathe out through your kidneys,
Releasing any fear with the sound chuuuuu.
Now,
Take more extended,
Slow breaths in and out through your nose.
Smile into your kidneys with the color sapphire blue,
And feel deep peace and tranquility saturating your kidneys.
Shimmering sapphire blue like a still pond.
Feeling peace and tranquility.
Smile sapphire blue.
Peace and tranquility radiating out from your kidneys to all your cells,
Into the space all around you,
And outward in all directions through the whole field.
Your kidneys are broadcasting peace and tranquility.
Now return your attention to the front of your body,
At the base of your ribs on the left side,
Just to the left of and behind your stomach,
Into your spleen.
If you'd like to,
You can place your left hand over the area of your spleen.
Smile into your spleen,
And thank it for all it does to support your health and well-being.
The emotions here are worry or doubt,
And trust.
The color is solar yellow,
And the sound is hoo,
Vocalized up in the back of your upper palate,
And felt through your spleen.
Breathe into your spleen,
And breathe out through your spleen,
Releasing any worry or doubt with the sound.
Continue breathing in and out through your spleen,
Releasing any worry or doubt in your out-breath with the sound.
Now breathe gently in and out through your nose.
Smile and breathe into your spleen,
Solar yellow,
And the feeling,
Deep trust.
Smile,
Solar yellow,
Deep trust saturating your spleen.
Feel deep trust radiating from your spleen to all your cells,
Out through the space all around you,
And outward in all directions through the whole field.
Deep trust in life.
Deep trust in the source of life.
Radiating deep trust,
Broadcasting it to the whole field.
Now the triple warmer.
You can imagine this as a container containing all of these organs.
All of these organs at once.
You can return your hands to being cupped in your lap.
The color here is purple.
The feeling is well-being and harmony of your organs.
All your cells.
The sound is shh.
Breathe into this whole container,
All the organs,
And breathe out feeling well-being,
Harmony,
And the color purple saturating the triple warmer.
Shhh.
Continue.
Breathe in purple,
Well-being,
Harmony,
And breathe out.
Shhh.
Through the triple warmer.
Let go and feel all your organs in deep harmony.
Smile to every cell,
And every cell smiles back.
Saturated with purple light,
And glowing with harmony.
Everything working together perfectly.
Feel the sense that all is well,
In perfect harmony.
Feel harmony radiating outward through your whole body,
Through the space all around,
And out through the whole field.
Through all beings,
Our whole planet,
Infinitely in all directions,
Purple luminosity,
And deep harmony,
Saturating the whole field,
Harmonious wholeness,
All embracing peace and harmony.
No inside,
No outside.
Boundless harmony.
Without beginning or end.
Oneness.
Now feel the space of your body again.
All your cells and organs,
As an expression of this harmonious oneness.
Absorb the energetic blueprint of harmony in every cell.
Smile in deep gratitude for this gift of peaceful harmony.
Feel your body as a whole from the inside,
And notice how you feel.
Record this feeling of harmony in every cell,
So you remember it.
Bring this peaceful harmony into all your interactions and relationships,
And can return to it anytime.
Feel the tingling aliveness at the top of your head,
Open to the vast sky above.
Feel the soft openness in your hands,
Connected to the soft openness in your heart,
And feel your feet firmly on the ground,
Connected to the grounding presence of the earth.
Slowly open your eyes,
Maintaining the feeling of peaceful harmony,
Inside and all around.
Take this feeling of harmony with you,
Wherever you go,
And share it with everyone you meet.
