Welcome.
I'm glad you're here.
Some mornings feel heavy before the day has properly started.
Not because of anything that's happened yet.
Just a weight that's already there when you wake.
If that's where you are right now.
This practice isn't going to lift that weight entirely.
It's going to give you a few minutes of steadiness underneath it.
So stay wherever you are right now,
Maybe lying down or sitting.
Let your body be fully supported by whatever is beneath you.
Take a moment to feel that support.
You don't need to do anything with the heaviness.
Just let it be there while your body rests.
And then bring your attention to your breath.
Without trying to change it yet.
Notice it simply as it is this morning.
Stay with this for a little while.
Breathing however feels natural to you today.
When you feel ready.
Begin to let your exhale soften.
And stretch out a little.
Maybe taking a little more time than it wants to naturally.
There's no need to force this.
Just think of this as a gentle extension.
Continue at your own pace.
For as long as feels comfortable.
Encouraging each exhale to maybe take a little more time.
As you work,
Let each exhale fade all the way to its own end,
Rather than rushing to reach for the next inhale.
Notice the small pause that follows the exhale.
And let the next in-breath arrive in its own time.
Continue working with the breath.
Whatever pace your body wants today.
When you feel ready,
Allow your breath to return to its own rhythm.
The heaviness may still be there.
This practice isn't trying to remove it.
What's changed is that you've given yourself a few minutes of steadiness to carry it from.
When you're ready,
Deepen your next inhale gently.
Let your eyes open in your own time.
If this helped,
I have more breathwork and courses for tired mornings on my profile.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
