Welcome.

This brief practice is designed to cultivate grounding and calm by focusing on Aparna,

The downward moving energy associated with stability and release.

So take a few moments now to find a comfortable seat or to lie down if you prefer.

Take a moment to settle and close your eyes now if it feels comfortable to do so.

Gently bring your attention inwards.

Let's begin by noticing your natural breath.

Feel the rhythm of your inhale and exhale without trying to change anything.

Simply observe.

Now bring your awareness to the lower abdomen,

The space below your navel and above the pelvic floor.

This is the region of Aparna.

On your next inhale,

Imagine the breath gently expanding this area,

Creating a sense of spaciousness and support.

As you exhale,

Feel a soft grounding release into this same area.

Allow any tension to dissolve.

Let your breath anchor you.

And let's now start to refine this focus.

So as you inhale smoothly and fully,

Visualize the breath flowing down to the Aparna region.

As you exhale slowly and completely,

Imagine the breath moving further downward and grounding into the earth.

Continue breathing with this awareness,

Allowing your breath to guide you.

If your mind wanders,

Gently return your attention to the sensation of the breath in the lower abdomen.

Each exhale is an opportunity to let go and to maybe feel a little more rooted.

When you're ready to close,

Take a moment to notice how you feel now.

Maybe a little calmer,

Maybe a little steadier,

Or maybe just a little more connected.

And then bring your awareness back to the room.

Slowly open the eyes,

Become aware of your surroundings,

And carry this newfound sense of grounding with you as you move into the rest of your day.

Thank you for practicing with me.
