Welcome to this full moon in Cancer meditation.

I'm Jamie and I'll be guiding you through the meditation.

The Cancer star sign opposite to Capricorn is associated with Divine Mother.

The moon is at home in this sign as it is in touch with emotions and the moon is the ruler of emotions.

Cancer has also got to do with your home environment,

About nurturing children,

Love,

A lot of the feminine associations.

So this is a topic that we will be delving into in this meditation,

Getting in touch with our emotional body,

What we feel.

So finding a comfortable position,

Just closing the eyes and as we sit here just committing to being still,

To being present,

To connecting with our bodies.

Begin to notice the breath,

Notice the feeling of the breath coming in,

Running down the back of the throat and just to begin,

To deepen this breath,

To bring the awareness,

You bring calmness.

As you breathe in just imagine the cold air or warm air clearing the mind and as you breathe out just encourage yourself to relax your body.

You can repeat it if you like.

So breathing in,

Clear,

Breathing out,

Relax,

Clear,

Relax.

And as you relax,

Just initially working on the face and the facial muscles,

Relaxing the eyes and the eyebrows,

The cheeks and the cheekbones,

The lips,

Softening your whole face,

Slowly working down to the shoulders,

Top of the arms,

Relaxing the stress and the tension we hold in the shoulders.

Clear.

Just come to your chest and mid-back,

Just sensing the beating of the heart,

Any tightness in the chest and the back.

And as we listen in to our heartbeat,

Feeling the muscles relax and the heartbeat slow,

Again just moving our attention lower and lower down to the diaphragm and the solar plexus.

Just seeing if we can widen the breath a little bit deeper,

Maybe just pausing for a moment as we fill the lungs and pausing at the top as well,

Savoring the breath and how it feels,

Filling the lungs with the air,

Filling the body with detoxifying oxygen.

One more nice deep breath and just moving attention a little bit lower again into our belly,

Into the darkness.

This can be the seat of the emotional body because when we get upset or we're stressed,

We usually have problems with our digestion.

So just feeling the feelings and seeing if you can open up the digestive system with the breath,

Rounding the belly,

Not holding anything in,

Opening up,

Creating a safe environment for the body to be relaxed.

Just keeping your attention in the belly,

In the emotional body.

We just want to open up and see what comes up in terms of feelings,

If there's any feelings which are being harbored down here and allow your imagination to go back the past weeks or months.

Be aware of any moments where your emotions have been triggered and these have been left unresolved and now they sit here in the belly,

Wanting to be explored,

Wanting to be opened.

Allow your imagination and your mind's eye to show you the way.

What are you holding on to?

Just going into that story that you've remembered to the person or thing that went wrong or upset you.

Coming with compassion and knowing that we are allowed to feel these ways.

You're allowed to be upset,

You're allowed to be angry.

It's okay.

Remembering to take some nice deep breaths,

Transmuting the energy.

And as this story solidifies a little bit,

We can always create a new ending,

Release the stagnant energy.

How can you change the story or how can you imagine the ending to work out well?

What is it can happen?

What can you do?

Living with compassion and understanding,

We're all going through our own journeys and only have responsibility for our own actions.

How can you change this?

Just see now,

Feel now.

Can you bring a feeling of love and compassion into your body?

Breathing it in,

Observe how it transmutates the situation.

And whatever positive emotion you've chosen to bring into your body,

Whether it be love,

Compassion,

Understanding,

Forgiveness,

Just feel it sit here in the belly where we're concentrating.

And as we breathe in and breathe out,

Just feeling like it expands a little bit further in all directions from the center point.

Just every time we breathe,

It filling the body a little bit more,

A little bit more.

Moving up towards the heart and down towards the feet,

Picking up the space in the pelvis.

Feel free to repeat that word that you're calling in,

Drawing it up and down,

Front to back,

Down towards the knees,

Up towards the shoulders,

And the arms filling,

Feeling how brilliant it is to be embodied in this energy.

Open up,

Continuing the journey all the way down to the feet and to the top of the head,

Pulling it up and down.

Keep breathing,

Feel your whole body filling with this energy.

With real childlike interest,

Just observe the feelings and encourage yourself.

See if you can feel it up in your third eye,

In between your eyebrows and in between your eyes.

See if you can feel this area alive and as well,

Just putting some concentration here,

Where we hold our wisdom and our intuition,

Knowing that we can act from this emotion in the future.

Just allowing it to bathe in this energy that you've created.

Breathing in nice and deeply if you can through your nose and feeling it in light.

And as we breathe it in,

I want you to repeat,

I am with whatever energy you're creating.

So it could be,

I am peaceful.

And as you're breathing in,

Repeat this mantra,

I am.

Feel your whole mind and third eye,

And if you can your whole body,

Filled with this energy.

Nice and deeply breathing it in,

Connecting to the words and what they mean to you,

Dispelling any doubt from your mind that you are this thing.

You're embodied,

Bringing a little smile to the mouth,

Because you know you can be anything.

You're very powerful.

We are very powerful.

Just believing in the power that we hold in meditation,

In affirmations.

And I encourage you to sit here for as long as you'd like to explore,

Going back down to the belly if it feels nice,

Or even bringing in a different energy to heal yourself and scanning the body.

So I leave you in peace,

And whenever you're ready,

You may finish the meditation.
