Hello and welcome to Ablaze Mental Training.
Today's training is going to focus around developing our purpose and training our focus through awareness.
The way we're going to do that today is by setting our hearts ablaze to your inner compass.
And when I say your inner compass,
I mean the quiet internal signal that guides you toward your most authentic self.
When we're not focused on what others think about us or what somebody else wants us to be,
But who you are and who you are meant to become.
So wherever we're at,
Just as we always do,
Let's find a comfortable position.
Whether we're seated,
Lying down,
Just allow your body to settle into this moment and focus on taking a slow breath in through your nose and gently exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Slow inhale through our nose and a slow exhale out through our mouth.
If we're feeling any tension in the body,
Let's try and notice it now.
Let your shoulders drop,
Unclench your jaw,
Just scan the body briefly to see if there's any tension,
Any spots that are holding on to some stress.
If you notice there's a spot in your body that's holding tension or stress,
As you breathe,
I want you to tighten that muscle and on your exhale,
I want you to release the muscle.
It allows your body to kind of identify those areas,
Really tighten into them just so you can fully release them as you exhale.
I want you to bring your attention to your breath.
No need to control it.
Just observe the natural rhythm,
The rise and fall of your midsection.
Thoughts may begin to appear,
Plans,
Reminders,
Conversations.
Just let them come and let them go.
You are not trying to stop your thoughts.
You are learning to see them clearly.
There is a difference between being inside your thoughts and observing them.
Right now,
Begin to step into the role of the observer.
As you sit here,
Notice the activity of your mind,
The constant movement,
The internal dialogue,
The pull of different directions.
Thoughts are driven by different things.
Some thoughts are driven by fear.
Some by expectation.
Some by habits you've developed over time.
Some of them are not even yours,
But they are shaped by the world around you.
Comparison,
Pressure,
External expectations,
All layered into the mind.
This is what we refer to as mental noise,
And most people live inside this noise without ever questioning it.
Beneath that noise,
There is something quieter,
More steady,
And less reactive.
I like to refer to this as your inner compass.
Your inner compass does not shout.
It does not rush.
It does not compete for attention,
But it always exists,
Guiding you,
Pointing you,
And waiting to be listened to.
When you were just a kid,
This voice was easier to hear,
Easier to listen to,
And you followed it.
But,
As we get older,
As we integrate into society and get more responsibility,
We tend to turn down that inner compass,
And we tune into all of these external expectations that we believe are necessary to elevate ourselves in society.
Your inner compass is connected to your values,
Your identity,
And your authentic direction.
It's not what the world tells you to pursue,
But what feels true when everything else becomes quiet.
Now I want you to begin and try and notice the difference between these competing thoughts and competing voices.
When a thought arises,
I want you to ask yourself,
Is this coming from pressure or from alignment?
Is this thought coming from fear or from clarity?
Is this thought reactive or is it grounded?
You don't need to answer perfectly.
Just begin to notice.
The tone,
The feeling,
And the source of these thoughts.
Your inner compass often feels calm,
Clear,
And steady,
Even if it's uncomfortable.
Mental noise often feels urgent,
Loud,
And scattered,
Typically coming from strong emotions that we've been holding for a while,
That we haven't processed or haven't fully dealt with yet.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
This is where focus is trained,
Returning again and again.
Each time your mind drifts,
Gently bring it back.
Now with frustration,
But with intention,
This is how you begin to clear space,
To reduce the noise,
And to strengthen your ability to listen and hear your inner compass.
Focus is not about eliminating distraction.
It's about choosing where your attention goes and returning when it drifts.
Over time,
This creates clarity,
And clarity allows your inner compass to become easier to hear.
Now gently bring your mind to your life,
Your path,
The direction you're currently moving.
Without overthinking,
Ask yourself,
Does this feel aligned with my inner compass?
Not perfect,
Not easy,
But aligned.
There is no need to force an answer.
Just notice the feeling,
The signal,
Or the subtle pull.
Your inner compass is not something you create,
It's something you learn to listen to.
Now let's take a slow breath in through our nose and a steady breath out through our mouth.
Today was not about having all the answers,
It was about beginning to notice the difference between noise and direction,
Between reaction and alignment.
This right here is where purpose begins,
Not in certainty,
But in awareness.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
You can bring yourself back to wherever you are presently.
I want you to carry this awareness with you into your day,
Into your week,
And into the things that you do.
Set your heart ablaze,
And have a great day.
