Hello and good morning beautiful humans.
Thank you for joining me today for a meditation on connecting to your internal guidance system.
As you arrive,
You can start to take a deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale side out the mouth.
Go ahead and take a few more rounds of breath just like that.
Inhaling through the nose.
Exhaling through the mouth.
Feel yourself start to settle and start to find a comfortable seat or lie down.
Starting to take the gaze within.
Invitation to soften the eyelids,
Soften the brow,
Allow the tongue to drop from the roof of your mouth and feel the shoulders creep away from the ears and let the breath start to fill you up.
Starting with the nose,
Making its way through the ribs,
Feeling the ribs expand and then taking that inhale all the way down,
Pressing the sides of your belly out,
Taking in as much air as you can and then exhaling back out through your nose from the belly,
The ribs,
The chest,
The throat,
Back out the nose.
Just start to create a steady rhythm of breath in and out,
Feeling your own body being breathed.
Setting the intention that today's meditation will connect you to your own internal guidance system through embodied presence.
So as you breathe,
Just starting to connect with your intuition,
Knowing that our intuition is intelligence straight from the source and that true inner guidance speaks through our bodies.
So can you take an inventory of what does not support you and what is essential to nourishing your internal guidance system?
Knowing that it is never too late to say no to what drains you and yes to what replenishes you.
So today,
Allow this meditation to start connecting you back to what your body says.
Letting your breath be slow and deep.
Just inviting in the idea that when we learn to tune into the language of our bodies,
We can make informed decisions to co-create with the spirit of life.
In today's world,
Anything can be used addictively.
It can be substances.
It can be processes.
But remembering that the function of addiction is to put a buffer between ourselves and our feelings.
And it numbs us so we are out of touch with what we know and what we feel.
And when we acknowledge our emotions,
We are immediately in touch with our feelings in some form.
So whatever's coming up for you,
Try not to get mad.
Maybe meet this with curiosity.
Let's get curious.
Knowing that it is okay if you have been functioning out of touch with what you know and feel.
There's a way to get back to yourself.
Well,
How do we change this?
The first step towards changing our health is to name it.
To allow it to be felt physically,
Spiritually,
Emotionally.
Just take a few breaths,
Letting that sink in.
And knowing that once it is acknowledged,
It can no longer influence you unconsciously.
Naming it frees us from the continued influence.
We have to feel in our bodies how bad things were,
How bad things are.
Because feeling frees energy that has been stuck,
Denied,
Ignored,
Maybe for years or even generations.
When we feel without judgment,
We start to free ourselves.
Unexpressed emotions stay in the body.
And they become illness.
Emotions are directly linked to our body via our immune system,
Our endocrine system,
Our central nervous system.
And our bodies are our barometer.
And when we learn how to tune into this language of our bodies,
We make informed decisions about life.
So as you breathe into your body,
Remember that embodied presence is the way through.
So feel yourself breathing this vessel,
This instrument you walk around with.
And just allow whatever you're feeling to be present.
Without trying to suppress it,
Numb it,
Run away from it,
Get rid of it.
Can you just get curious and welcome it to the space.
Maybe you can locate the sensation within your body.
And you place your hands there.
Feeling the warmth of your own hands.
Feeling the subtle acknowledgement of your presence touching that area.
Letting that emotion know it is not alone,
That you are right here with it.
And as you continue to breathe,
Just keep welcoming it in.
Maybe imagine back to the time in your life when you first noticed this emotion.
Maybe you were a little child,
A teenager,
Or an adult.
Whatever time it was,
I want you to see that version of you in the mind's eye.
And I want you to extend your hand out,
Making eye contact with this version of you,
Welcoming it here.
And see if you can provide it a little comfort,
A little acknowledgement for the journey that your human has walked and been through.
The emotion,
The range that you have experienced.
Just have a moment to bow in reverence for what you have walked,
For what your generations have walked,
Your lineage.
Breathe into the profound vessel that you inhabit.
Feel yourself coming home a little deeper than when we began.
Realizing that all it needs is to be acknowledged.
So can you just feel without judgment?
And that is the beginning of how you free yourself.
On your next inhale,
Breathe in from nose to root.
And then breathe out from root to nose.
Notice if you can take in a little more air than when we started.
On the next exhale,
Send this energy,
This emotion out into the universe to be alchemized.
Maybe it won't completely go away from one meditation,
But you have began the journey and that is what matters.
Have a beautiful day,
My loves.
And I'll see you again.
