Welcome to this waning moon meditation.
This meditation is best done during the waning or last quarter moon,
The time of releasing,
Letting go,
And surrendering.
This meditation is best practiced lying down,
But can be done in any shape you feel comfortable in,
Where you can soften your body and turn your gaze inward.
Find your shape and take a slow,
Deep breath in and a slow,
Deep breath out.
Last one,
Slow breath in,
Slow breath out.
Settle into your shape.
Make any adjustments that will make you feel even a fraction more comfortable.
Settling deeper,
Unclench your jaw and tongue,
Facial muscles,
Your shoulders,
Hands,
Feet,
Arms,
Fingers,
Spine,
Abdomen,
Pelvis,
Legs,
Toes.
The waning moon is of the water element,
The element of accepting,
Forgiving,
And releasing.
This is the time where we soften our grip,
Surrender control,
And go with the flow of life.
This is the time to find rest.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale,
Sigh it out of the mouth.
Slow breath in through the nose.
Exhale,
Sigh it out of the mouth.
Slow breath in.
Slow sigh out.
Continue breathing deeply in and out of the nose.
As you breathe,
Notice your body growing heavier.
Every point of contact that your body has with the earth grows heavier,
Feeling weighted.
Your heels,
The backs of your legs,
Buttocks,
Shoulder blades.
Feet,
Arms,
Hands,
Back of the head,
Rooted and heavy.
Bring your awareness to your exhale.
Feel the warmth of your breath as it passes through your nostrils.
Listen to the soft rush of air as it leaves your body.
Notice the length of your exhale.
Extend your exhale,
Making it longer than your inhale.
Breathing out,
Gently pressing all of the air out of your lungs.
Each extended exhale sinks you deeper and deeper into rest.
Slow breath in.
Slow breath out.
Soften and release the muscle of your toes,
Your feet,
Your ankles,
Shins,
Knees,
Backs of the knees,
Tops of the thighs,
Backs of the thighs,
Lower pelvis,
Lower back,
Belly,
Middle back,
Ribs,
Upper back,
Chest,
Collarbones,
Shoulder blades.
Soften and release the muscle of your toes,
Your feet,
Your ankles,
Shins,
Knees,
Upper arms,
Elbows,
Forearms,
Wrists,
Hands,
Fingers,
Jaw,
Nose,
Eyebrows,
Forehead.
Temples,
Back of the head,
Crown of the head.
Deep breath in.
Deep breath out.
Bring awareness back to your body.
Feel your body resting on your support.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest.
Feel the cool air flowing in through your nose and warm air flowing out.
Feel the restfulness of your physical body and the subtle body.
Slower thoughts,
A calmer spirit.
Carry this peaceful presence with you into your evening and continue finding rest during this and every waning moon cycle.
Together we share one final breath in,
One final breath out.
Thank you and take good care.
Www.
Mooji.
