Your predisposition by birth and your current surroundings influence what qualities are enhanced and prominent in your life at the moment. For example, city life makes you direct, hard, and fast. But spending time in the spa makes you slow, soft, and indirect. Now, any of these qualities can be serving you at certain times, none of them are generally good or bad. But enhancing certain qualities before you need them, can be a very effective way to improve the experience of any situation you might find yourself in. This specific meditation will enhance the quality of “indirect”. This can be useful before a work meeting that needs creative problem-solving or new ideas, or before creating a piece of art or creative writing. In whatever way the quality “indirect” can serve you, use this mediation to enhance it.

Welcome to today's meditation,

Find a comfortable seating position and slowly come to stillness with your eyes closed.

Today's meditation will enhance the quality indirect so that it can serve you.

The quality indirect gives you freedom and makes you creative.

It also opens you and gives you the ability to create the new.

In the next minutes we will let go of the quality direct and embrace the quality indirect.

Take a few breaths now to arrive in a calm state of mind.

Take your time,

Let a few more thoughts wander around your marvelous brain before finding absolute stillness and quiet.

First of all let us neutralize the word indirect.

Neither direct or indirect are good or bad,

They are merely qualities.

So just take a moment to neither vilify or celebrate either of them.

Direct and indirect are both just qualities and both can be useful at certain times.

So take a few breaths now to neutralize your attitude.

Now before we say goodbye to the quality direct let us be grateful for it.

Consciously create gratitude for the quality direct.

Direct can serve you.

It allows you to be structured and goal-oriented.

It allows you to be assertive.

But now in this moment directness is not needed anymore.

So take a moment to thank your direct quality before you let it go.

With every breath you take now the quality direct disappears.

Trust that it can come back whenever you need it.

At the same time increase the quality indirect in your body and your mind.

Give indirection to your entire being.

With every breath allow yourself to let go of quality direct and increase the quality indirect.

Imagine a conversation you will have after this meditation and picture and observe yourself how indirect and free you are.

How outrageous your body language,

How creative your ideas are that you tell people.

Embrace the quality indirect.

Embrace indirect in your mind and your body.

Feel your breath becoming indirect,

Free,

Uninhibited at times irregular breathing.

Feel your thoughts becoming indirect,

Open,

Creative,

New,

Indirect thoughts.

Feel your attitude becoming indirect,

Irregular,

Not in control,

Moving anywhere and everywhere,

An indirect attitude.

For the next five exhales say the word indirect in your mind every time you breathe out.

Say it five times.

Feel your entire body and mind becoming indirect.

Now slowly reconnect with the world around you.

Without losing your indirectness slowly become conscious of where you are and what you want to do next.

Stay indirect both in your body and in your mind while you come out of your meditation.

Slowly move some fingers whilst staying indirect.

Slowly open your eyes whilst staying indirect.

This is the end of the meditation.
