And I'll be guiding you.

First of all,
I want to acknowledge the courage you've already shown in choosing this meditation.
It's a sign that you not only truly desire relief from feelings of betrayal,
But that you're ready and willing to be here.

Let us take a moment to settle into the body.
Please be comfortably seated,
Sitting tall and light,
Feet flat on the floor.
Rest your hands crisscrossed over your heart in a gesture of calming support.
If this mudra becomes tiring,
Simply rest your hands in your lap.
If you feel any tension in your body,
You may stretch or tighten and release that area.
Allow the breath to respond in any way and then settle into an even rhythm.
Now give yourself permission to be still for these few minutes.
Part One Acknowledge and Feel After experiencing betrayal,
We often describe what we feel as feeling betrayed.
But betrayal isn't a feeling,
It's an act or event.
So the first thing we need to do is get clear about what we're feeling around the betrayal.
Feelings commonly associated with betrayal might include shame,
Anger,
Confusion,
Regret,
Or general fear.
We'll take some time to identify what you are feeling and where you feel it.
Do your best to stay clear of the story surrounding the betrayal.
It's absolutely okay to experience both nothing at all or emotional release as you do this.
If you do need to feel more deeply,
Pause the meditation and be with yourself.
You can return to the rest of the meditation at another time.
There truly is no rushing this process.
I'll now state the associated feelings.
Simply notice what you feel in your body and where.

Understand.
Now understand that each of these emotions that you feel are powerful messengers.
If you push down or avoid the messenger,
You won't receive the message,
And the feeling will persist.
So let's look at what the messages might be.
We'll take a moment with each.
If you feel fear,
What do you believe is being threatened or at stake in this moment?
If you feel anger,
What's important to you that needs to be protected now?
If you feel anger,
What's important to you that needs to be protected now?
If you feel anger,
What's important to you that needs to be protected now?
If you feel confusion,
What can you do to recenter yourself?
If you feel anger,
What can you do to recenter yourself?
If you feel regret,
What do you need to recover and honor as your truth?
If you feel anger,
What's important to you that needs to be protected now?
If you feel shame,
How have you neglected something important to you,
And how can you reclaim and affirm it?
If you feel anger,
What's important to you that needs to be protected now?
If you feel anger,

Each of these questions can support you in beginning to understand the message each emotion carries,
Not just in regards to betrayal,
But in all aspects of life.
Give yourself both space and time to realize what actions to take next,
If any.
And give yourself both space and time to truly heal.
It's a practice,
Not a quick fix.
Now let's sit quietly for several minutes and allow pure awareness to complete today's practice.
