I'm so glad you're here.
This meditation is an invitation into silence.
A space of rest.
Of listening.
Of coming home to yourself.
Silence doesn't ask anything of you.
It simply welcomes you in.
As the mystic poet Rumi said,
There is a voice that doesn't use words.
Listen.
In this practice,
We won't be focusing on doing anything.
We're simply allowing ourselves to settle into silence.
To remember that underneath all the noise,
There is peace.
You don't have to search for it.
It's already here.
So take a moment to find a position that feels nourishing.
And supportive.
And when you're ready,
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Will begin with the breath to arrive in the body.
So let's inhale deeply into the belly.
Ribs expand.
Collarbone Slip.
Exhale gently,
Collarbones soften.
RIBS Release.
Belly draws back in.
Again,
Inhale into the belly.
Ribs.
Up into the collarbones.
Exhale from the collarbones,
Ribs.
And belly.
One more,
Inhaling deeply.
And exhaling slowly.
Now allow the breath to flow naturally.
Let yourself be held by the breath.
In a moment,
The guidance will fall away.
And you'll be held in a portal of uninterrupted silence.
Stillness,
Just for you.
You don't have to do anything.
Just notice.
Be with your breath.
Be with your body.
Be with the quiet.
If your mind wanders.
Gently return to the breath.
Or simply repeat softly in your heart,
I am here.
I am listening.
Let's begin now.
And I'll meet you on the other side.
Now gently bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Feel the air on your skin.
The weight of your body resting.
The quiet still with you.
How do you feel?
Wiggling your fingers and toes as you're ready.
Blinking your eyes open.
An affirmation for today is,
Stillness lives within me.
May you stay with yourself today,
My friend.
