Loving Kindness Meditation is a powerful tool to ease the suffering of depression, or any general bad mood or feelings of unease. Wish yourself well, wish others well, and feel the power of these compassionate intentions. It blows my mind everytime how quickly this practice turns a person from down in the dumps to glowing with gratitude.

Welcome to this short and sweet loving kindness meditation.

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Whether that is lying down or sitting.

Just making sure that you can breathe freely and easily.

Place your palms on your heart center.

Smile into your expanding heart.

Bringing forth a tender receptivity in the center of your chest.

So that you can drop in some loving intentions for yourself.

May I be happy.

May I be free from suffering.

May I live with ease.

May I experience deep and unconditional love.

Breathing in the truth of these words and these well wishes that you have for yourself.

Move your hands now to somewhere on your body that could use some extra love and some extra TLC.

Bring these statements of loving kindness to this place in your body.

May you be happy.

May you be free from suffering.

May you live with ease.

May you experience deep and unconditional love.

And bring to mind someone who you love very much.

Think of the qualities you most appreciate about this person.

And how they are when they feel love for you.

How do you feel when in that loving presence?

Become fully aware of their essence.

Feeling appreciation growing in your heart.

And bringing these wishes now to that loved one.

May you be happy.

May you be free from suffering.

May you live with ease.

May you experience deep and unconditional love.

Breathing in the sincerity of these words.

Exhaling and sending all of those well wishes and love to your loved one.

And moving your hands now to somewhere else on your body that could use some love.

Just allowing yourself to be intuitively guided.

Bringing these words of blessing again to your very own body.

May I be happy.

May I be free from suffering.

May I live with ease.

May I experience deep and unconditional love.

Breathing in the truth of this.

Exhaling and sinking deeper into relaxation and peace.

Now bringing to mind an acquaintance of yours.

Someone who you don't know well.

And the first person who pops into your mind is perfect.

And bring these words of well wishes to this acquaintance.

May you be happy.

May you be free from suffering.

May you live with ease.

May you experience deep and unconditional love.

Breathing in the awareness that this person just wants to be happy just like you.

Exhaling peace towards this acquaintance.

Sinking deeper into the relaxation of this moment.

Moving your hands now back to your heart center.

Bringing this loving kindness back into your own heart.

May I be happy.

May I be free from suffering.

Feeling these words with your whole heart.

May I live with ease.

May I experience deep and unconditional love.

Inhaling a bright cleansing light.

Exhaling and letting any tension go just melting down your body.

And finally bringing your awareness to this planet upon which we reside.

Bringing these well wishes to our mother earth and all the beings that reside on her.

May we all be happy.

May we all be free from suffering.

May we all live with ease.

May we all experience deep and unconditional love.

Breathing in expansive love.

Exhaling peace to every corner of the earth.

Staying here in this beautiful cocoon of healing energy that you have just created for as long as you want.
