Today's meditation is based on the practice of heart math.
And we begin by bringing our awareness to our breath.
We draw the breath into the body.
And release it out.
As you draw the breath in,
Draw those shoulders up close to the ears.
Draw the chest up.
Imagine the body lifting up.
And with your exhale.
We soften.
We relax the shoulders down.
We allow the chest to fall down.
Soft and relaxed.
And keep your body in this relaxed state as we move forward.
Still breathing in.
Releasing out.
With the shoulders relaxed down away from the ears.
The chess saw.
The belly relaxed.
Slowing the breath down a bit.
Lengthening the exhale.
As we move into this heart-focused meditation.
It's nice to ground ourselves.
And so imagine that you have roots growing from the soles of your feet.
Imagine these roots growing down into the soil of the earth.
We let our root grow deep.
Moving all the way to the heart of the earth.
And connect here.
And notice how you can feel the energy of the earth.
Begin to move up these roots.
Her heart energy flowing into your body.
Creating a sense of connection.
Allowing your body to soften and relax just a bit deeper.
And bring your awareness to your heart now.
Bring your attention to your heart space.
And imagine that this breath that you are pulling in.
It's actually coming into the heart.
Imagine that your heart itself is breathing.
Drawing the breath in.
Exhaling the breath out.
Allow your heart to breathe.
And we'll rest here for a moment.
Breathing into the heart.
Releasing,
Exhaling out through the heart.
Let your hands come to rest on the heart space.
Bringing a sense of comfort to the heart.
Like a hug.
Let the hands rest gently onto the heart.
Feel the heart beating beneath the hands.
Still breathing in.
Still breathing out.
And as we bring our awareness,
Our attention to our heart space.
I want you to think of something that you feel gratitude towards.
Maybe you are grateful for a person in your life.
Maybe you have gratitude towards an object.
Car.
Piece of clothing.
A piece of art.
Maybe you are grateful for a skill that you have.
Bring to mind something that you are grateful for.
Allow this feeling of gratitude to flow into your heart space.
As the heart draws its breath in.
Allow it to bring with it this feeling of gratitude.
And as the heart exhales.
Allow that feeling of gratitude.
To flow outward into your body.
Draw your breath in,
Pulling in this feeling of gratitude.
Exhale out.
Allowing gratitude to flow out into the arms.
Allow this feeling of gratitude to flow through the core,
Down your legs.
Imagine it mixing and blending.
With the heart energy coming up from the core of the earth.
Continue to breathe in through the heart.
Exhaling out.
Continue to allow gratitude to flow into this heart space.
And with your exhale,
We allow that gratitude to flow outwards.
And we know that our heart radiates out beyond our body.
Beyond this physical form.
Imagine this feeling of gratitude expanding out this far.
Imagine this feeling of gratitude reaching out.
And touching those in your life.
Loved ones,
Family members.
Visualize this feeling of gratitude reaching their hearts.
Breathing into the heart space.
Exhaling out through the heart.
And now,
As we share this feeling of gratitude outwards.
Imagine it going beyond family and friends.
Imagine this.
Feeling of gratitude.
Reaching the hearts of people you don't know.
Members of your community.
May be reaching further.
Touching the lives of others.
Catching their hearts.
Shifting their energy.
We are now in a state of coherence.
Aligning our thoughts with our heart.
Breathing into the heart space,
Drawing in.
This idea,
This feeling of gratitude.
Exhaling out through the heart.
Allowing gratitude to reach out.
To all of those around us.
Let's rest here for a moment,
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Experiencing gratitude flowing in.
Sharing this gratitude outwards with the world.
Now let's take a moment to consider this idea of gratitude.
Maybe there are other things in your life that you feel grateful for.
Louise Hayes would wake up and feel gratitude towards her pillow.
You too can feel grateful for small things in your life.
What else are you grateful for?
Is there food in your pantry?
Do you have clothes in your closet?
To have dear friends and family members.
A job,
A car.
Transportation.
Do you have good health?
What are you grateful for?
Begin to create a list.
And imagine as you move through your day,
You continue to add to this list.
Maybe you take a walk and you see a singular flower.
You add that to your list.
You hear people laughing and it makes you feel good.
You add that to your list.
We continue to create a long list.
Things that we feel grateful for.
And now when life.
Sends us a hard message.
When we are derailed.
And we will,
Because that's how life is.
We pull out our long list of things that we feel grateful for.
And we may experience a single event that derails us.
But we have a list.
Maybe a list of 10,
20,
30.
Maybe 50 items that we are grateful for.
And life feels more balanced.
We can get through this event that has derailed us.
Because we have this long list of items.
That we are grateful for.
So let's tuck that list away.
Maybe you decide to actually come back and write that list.
And carry it with you.
Maybe you keep a mental note of it.
But we keep it available that we can call upon it when we need to add to it.
We need to see it to remind ourselves of all the good in our life.
And we'll begin to bring our awareness back.
And drop your attention back into your feet.
And you are reminded that in this moment you are connected to the heart of the earth.
And you may decide to let this go,
To unplug.
You might decide to stay connected.
Bring your awareness back to the breath.
Bring your awareness back to the heart space.
And set the intention.
To move through today.
With the heart center energy.
Namaste.
