Tapping can reduce symptoms associated with an illness or health condition. In this Tapping meditation, we move through the body, through our thoughts, and through our emotions that we are experiencing around an illness and tapping. Tapping has been shown to effectively reduce and even eliminate certain symptoms, such as pain and bring you relief.

This meditation is a tapping meditation.

We will be using tapping to help reduce any symptoms you might be experiencing from an illness.

And so this is a great tapping to come to if you're starting to come down with a cold or you have some aches and pains.

Tapping can help reduce the feelings that you might be experiencing that come with this illness.

So go ahead and check in with yourself in this moment.

How are you feeling?

Maybe something is just now coming on.

Or maybe you've been feeling down and out for a little while.

If you were to measure your symptoms,

Your feeling of illness on a scale from 0 to 10,

Where would you rank yourself in this moment?

And it's always good to write this down just as a reminder.

And we'll begin tapping on the karate part of the hand,

That meaty part of the hand by the pinky.

And we tap gently.

And we're going to tap to reduce elements,

Symptoms that come with an illness.

We're going to reduce some unwanted health conditions.

And we'll continue to tap.

And as you tap,

I'm going to share some words,

Some phrases.

You can let them resonate within you.

You can shift the words if I don't match exactly how you are feeling.

You can repeat them out loud.

And so tapping on the karate part of the hand,

We share,

Even though I am feeling,

And fill in the blank,

How are you feeling?

Even though I am feeling feverish,

Tired,

Exhausted,

I feel achy all over.

Even though I am feeling sick,

I trust in my body's ability to heal.

Even though in this moment,

I don't feel good,

My body aches.

I trust in myself.

I trust my body's ability to heal.

And continue to check in with your body to see how are you feeling.

And then we'll move to tapping between the eyebrows.

And we tap.

What are the symptoms that you're experiencing?

Say these out loud.

Maybe some aches and pain.

Maybe there is tension in the head across the shoulders.

Maybe your belly is upset and it's rumbling.

Maybe you have a fever.

How are you feeling in this moment?

And we're tapping on the inside of the eyebrows.

And we're talking about how we feel.

And we'll move to tapping to the outside of the eye.

And we tap here and ask yourself,

Where am I feeling these symptoms?

Do I feel it in my skin?

Is it deep in my bones?

Is it in the muscles?

Do I feel something in my lungs?

Where are you experiencing these symptoms?

Is it across the shoulders or in the belly?

Is it in the chest?

Bring your awareness to where your body is experiencing these symptoms.

And we tap under the eyes.

And what are the emotions that come with this illness?

Is there disbelief?

I can't believe that I'm sick.

I never get sick.

I can't believe it's happening now,

Right before something special is to happen.

Maybe you're angry about becoming sick.

Or maybe there's some sadness.

Maybe there's grief.

How do you feel about this illness?

Are you pushing against it?

Are you accepting it?

And we're still tapping under the eyes.

And we bring our full awareness to how our body is experiencing this illness.

But we're also bringing in our thoughts and how we feel about this.

And let's tap under the nose,

On top of the lips.

And what other emotions,

What other thoughts are coming up?

Are you exhausted?

Are you done with this?

Let's bring into our full awareness how we are thinking about this sickness.

And we're tapping on top of the lip.

And we're bringing our full awareness to how we are experiencing this illness.

Our thoughts around it.

The sensations that we feel in our body.

And we move to tapping on the chin.

And as we tap here,

I want you to think about Where did this come from?

How did it come about?

Were you not taking care of yourself?

Did you not sleep well?

Is there someone in your immediate group that also had this and you caught it from them?

Do you feel like you inherited this?

It was passed down to you?

Or is it just who you are?

Where did it come from?

And we're tapping on the chin.

And we're thinking,

We're diving deeper about this illness.

Wondering how did I get this?

And why did I get this?

Tapping on the chin.

And let's bring our hands down and we tap on the collarbone.

And as we tap,

We give our body a bit of compassion.

We recognize our body's ability to heal.

And we pay attention to what is happening right now.

That fever that you are experiencing is there to help you fight this illness.

It's your body working hard.

If you're feeling tired,

It's a message.

Your body is sending,

Asking you to rest.

If there is a cough,

Your body is helping to expel whatever is in the lungs that needs to be taken out.

And now let's begin to tap under the arm.

We tap under the arm.

And we allow ourselves to soften in to this idea of not feeling well.

We recognize that in this moment the body is needing to heal.

And we are accepting.

Accepting of this healing that is happening in the body.

And we relax.

And then we move our fingers all the way up to the top of the head.

And we tap.

And we tell ourselves,

Even though I am not feeling well,

I trust in my body's ability to heal.

Even though right now I feel so.

.

.

However you feel,

I feel so awful.

I feel so tired.

I feel so achy.

I trust in my body's ability to heal.

And we continue to tap on the top of the head.

Relaxing in to this idea.

Trusting that this too will pass.

And now allow the hands to rest.

And check in once again.

How are you feeling?

In the beginning I had you measure on a scale from 0 to 10.

Check in to see if that number has changed.

And there is no right,

There is no wrong.

We are just looking to see how are we feeling in this moment.

And let's begin to shift to a feeling of being positive.

A reminder of a time when we felt good.

And so we tap on the inside of the eyebrows.

I trust in my body's ability to heal.

I trust in my body's ability to heal.

And we move to the outside of the eyes.

I know that this too will pass.

And although I feel so sick in this moment.

This will pass.

I know that my body is capable of healing.

This will pass.

And now tap under the eyes and relax.

Soften,

Soften your body.

Let the shoulders drop away from the ears.

Feel the belly releasing.

And breathe in to any places of the body that are feeling any of the symptoms.

That you want to let go of.

And as you breathe in to this space.

We share a bit of compassion.

Thank you body for working so hard.

Thank you body.

And we bring our tapping fingers to under the nose on top of the lip.

And keep your awareness on the body.

Keep your awareness on those places that are feeling heavy or tight.

The ones that feel achy or painful.

And continue to breathe in to those spaces.

Continue to soften.

Continue to send compassion.

Still tapping.

Still tapping.

And now let's bring our fingers to under the nose on top of the lip.

And do you remember the stories that we attached to this illness?

I wonder if you could create a new story.

A story about how you move in and out of this illness.

How yes in this moment I don't feel well but I know this will pass.

I will be feeling much better.

And my body will be much stronger after this.

Or maybe a new story about needing to relax and not paying attention.

And your body is so wise.

That it created this illness to slow you down.

But that now you are listening.

Let's create some new stories.

Stories of empowerment.

Stories that represent the wiseness of your body.

And then we tap under the chin.

And we tap in that little space.

The one under the lip above the edge of the chin.

And as you tap there we soften the body.

And we remind ourselves of a time that we did feel better.

We remind ourselves of a time where we could move without aches and pains.

Where we weren't so exhausted.

And we bring this to mind.

We envision ourselves healed.

We envision ourselves feeling better.

And we begin to shift the energy within us.

Shift your energy.

Shift your energy to one of wellness.

Of health.

Tapping on the chin.

Reminding ourselves.

Of how good we can feel.

And now we tap on the collarbone.

And I'm already feeling better.

My body feels better.

I can tell that my body is healing.

I am already shifting that energy.

And I feel better.

I notice that I feel better.

My body must be healing.

And begin to tap under the arm.

And soften into this idea.

Trusting.

That your body is mending.

That you are healing.

We tap under the arm.

Trusting in our body.

Believing.

And bring those hands to the top of the head.

And we tap.

And we feel the body softening.

And we can envision ourselves.

In a moment where we are healed.

Where we feel healthy.

Where we feel energized.

We tap on the top of the head.

And we have gratitude.

We feel compassion.

We also feel a sense of pride.

Recognizing how powerful our bodies are.

We also recognize how powerful our thoughts can be.

In healing our body.

And we remind ourselves to bring in these thoughts.

The ones that heal.

Tapping on the top of the head.

My body is healing.

My body is healing.

And let the hands rest.

And let's check in one more time.

We go back to that scale.

Zero to ten.

And how are you feeling in this moment?

Depending on how you are feeling.

You may want to stay and tap a little bit more.

You may want to replay this audio.

And move through the tapping.

Or you can rest quietly.

Gently tapping on the body.

Focusing on your ability to heal.

Focusing on the thoughts of healing.

You are powerful.

And in this moment you are healing.

Alright beautiful people.

I will see you soon.
