Hey friend,
Welcome to the Explorer Energy,
And I'm excited to explore this energy with you.
Part of the Explorer Energy is a sense of adventure,
Of going on a journey.
And when we meditate,
It doesn't always have to be work.
It can be exciting.
It could be an inner exploration and discovery.
So before we step into the meditation,
I want to read part of a quote that I used in the Seven Energies of the Soul book by Albert Einstein.
And he says,
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It's the source of all true art and science.
He to whom the emotion is a stranger,
Who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe,
Is as good as dead.
Thank you for that reminder,
Albert,
That the energy of curiosity and of awe is an essential part of our human nature.
So when we open up to the Explorer Energy and find balance with it,
We want to validate that part of ourselves.
And it's really easy to get lost in the mundane,
In the nine-to-five work week,
In repetition.
And it's the Explorer Energy in us that calls us back to adventure.
And so that adventure might be external.
Maybe we're scientists,
Anthropologists,
Historians,
Futurists.
Maybe we look into the deepest part of a quantum particle that we could see.
Maybe we look into the cell structure of the human body.
Perhaps we peer out into the stars and wonder where we're from and who we are,
Why we're here.
Or we could be inner explorers.
So we close our physical eyes,
And with our mind's eye,
We start to explore our inner world,
The inner world of the psyche,
The inner world of energy,
Of emotion,
Of spirituality.
So we could explore outwardly and we could explore inwardly.
And obviously we're going to meditate here,
So we're going to explore inwardly.
You could go ahead and close your eyes and let's go on a bit of a inner exploration adventure,
If you will.
So put a light smile on your face,
Take a deep breath.
And I just want you to validate some of these qualities of the Explorer in yourself.
Maybe some of them are in deficiency or some of them haven't fully formed yet,
But we all have them.
Some of those values,
Some of those energies are curiosity,
Enthusiasm,
That ability to dream,
Maybe the pull towards travel,
To see over the horizon,
A sense of or curiosity of why things work the way they work or how they work.
So that deep,
Deep feeling of what is that over there?
Why is that the way it is?
And that curiosity that wants to find out and peel back the layers.
Let's just start by validating that in ourselves,
Even if it's been asleep in you.
Go ahead and just say hello to that part of yourself.
Start to feel that enthusiasm for exploration and wonder.
And you can also recognize that there's an entire world inside you.
It may be infinite.
So in meditation,
We explore this inner world.
We could be in awe of the mystery of our inner world.
It may be inexhaustible.
And to bring our explorer energy into balance and to really fulfill its potential,
We have to validate this explorer energy in us and recognize how important it is to our journey in life.
And to do that,
We have to ask the explorer energy what direction it wants to take.
So every explorer has to choose a direction.
And for right now,
All I want you to do is ask yourself at a very deep,
Kind of subtle,
Intuitive level,
What it is that your inner explorer wants to explore.
And that may be your own feelings,
Thoughts,
Creativity,
Consciousness itself.
And one way you could help clarify this is by recognizing what makes you excited.
So if there were no limitations,
No one telling you you can't explore this or you're not smart enough to know about that,
You're not Sigmund Freud or Albert Einstein or someone like that,
So who are you to explore?
If you could just let those limitations go,
Where does your exploration energy want to take you?
Allow that awareness to just rise to the surface.
And if you notice some energy that's kept you from really embracing this quality in yourself and this path,
Just go ahead and be aware of it.
When we become aware of a limitation or perceived limitation,
That maybe we adopted from the world,
From someone in our lives,
Or something we even constructed ourselves,
We can feel the constriction that it causes in our being.
So notice if you feel that constriction,
If there is one that says you can't be disenthusiastic,
You don't have time to explore,
You have to go work,
Whatever the excuses are.
Can you even bring a sense of exploration energy to that and go,
Oh,
You're fascinating,
That's curious,
Huh,
Wonder where you came from?
You're not so fun voice.
So just acknowledge that energy if it's there.
And at the same time,
You can continue to explore.
Just because there's an energy doesn't mean we stop.
I'd also like you to recognize that this may be the beginning of the next chapter of your life,
Of your story.
And you get to write it,
You get to choose and decide.
So even if there's some limitation energy,
You still get to explore and move forward.
In fact,
If there's some hesitation or fear,
It's very possible that this really is the correct path for you.
If there is fear,
That probably means you care.
Allow yourself to start to feel the quality of what it's like when you're on this journey.
Do you feel excited?
Do you feel enthusiastic,
Open-minded?
Do you feel that childlike curiosity?
Are you open to more possibilities?
Are you playful?
In every great spiritual and religious story,
And in every great work of fiction,
There's always this moment referred to as the call to adventure.
We seem to be living a normal life,
And then something calls us into the forest to climb the mountain,
To look inwards and shift who we are.
Can you acknowledge that call to adventure in you?
As you acknowledge it,
Let yourself feel your explorer energy coming back into balance.
As you validate it,
You could feel it rising to its potential.
Life is infinite and inexhaustible,
Perhaps in every direction.
There may be endless dimensions,
Endless levels of consciousness.
We have no idea what the limitations of reality are.
And you are on this exploration journey.
You're a being with awareness,
And you get to see and experience all of this wonder.
Have gratitude for the opportunity.
Thank life for giving you the opportunity.
And whenever that mundane energy of the world wants to pull you down,
Just remember the explorer in you.
Great work.
Take a deep breath in,
And easy sigh out.
You can stretch and open your eyes.
And now you can go explore the external world if you like.
I'll see you in the next one.
