Hey friend,
Welcome back to the Meditation School Podcast.
And on today's episode I want to do a short meditation on gratitude for us and I want to start with a quote that I love from one of my favorite teachers Eckhart Tolle and he says,
Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.
And I couldn't agree more.
The same way a star,
Our Sun,
Generates energy and light that sustains us.
We have a star inside of us.
You have a star inside your own body.
Call it the heart or the heart center.
And your star generates gratitude and love.
But we've all forgotten that we have this star inside of us and so we walk around looking for a street lamp to light our way or even worse another person.
And we forget that we have this light inside of us and this light as it touches everything in life it has this innate subtle sense of gratitude.
Gratitude for that connection.
So go ahead and close your eyes with me here for a moment.
And I want you to bring your awareness right into the center of your chest,
Right into your own inner star,
Into that place inside of you that understands what it means to have gratitude.
And start by having gratitude for your body.
Billions of years of evolution,
Trillions of cells,
This vibrating life force moving through you,
Giving you life,
Giving you consciousness.
Allow yourself to feel your body from head to toe.
In this moment,
In this three-dimensional reality,
Notice the life force inside your body and just have gratitude for being in it.
You're in it.
You're in life and life is in you.
Take a deep breath into your body and as the breath goes deep into you let it touch every single part of your body all the way down into your toes and every place it touches it has gratitude for.
And then gently breathe out.
Every time you breathe you could feel that gratitude as that air touches every part of you.
And then you could start to notice you can have gratitude for the planet you're sitting on underneath you.
For the soil that creates the trees and for the fruits that fall off the trees.
For the sustenance,
The food,
The energy that the earth gives you.
Have gratitude for it.
Feel it.
The beautiful nature of the forests,
The rivers,
The mountains,
The valleys,
The canyons,
The oceans,
The lakes,
The rivers,
The sky.
Notice your connection to all of it and feel that gratitude to all of it.
Notice your body is a part of it.
It's not separate.
It's part of the family.
It's part of the ecological system.
It nourishes you and you nourish it.
It is a cycle of give and take.
And have gratitude for the people in your life.
Notice this planet that you live on is populated with other human beings.
Have gratitude for what they've brought you.
For the love,
For the lessons,
For the companionship.
Although at times it might not feel perfect,
Feel the gratitude you have for having all those relationships.
And allow yourself to feel gratitude for life,
For the trillions of stars,
The countless galaxies,
The energy that fills the universe,
That gives everything life.
Feel it in the center of your chest,
In your heart.
Let it open you and recognize that you have a star in the center of you and it generates gratitude and love just like the Sun generates energy and light.
And when you open your eyes and go through the rest of your day,
Feel that in your field of energy.
Notice you're a gratitude generating machine and you are here to share it with the rest of the world.
Take one more big deep breath in and a nice soft easy sigh out and open your eyes with gratitude for life and go enjoy it.
I'll see you next time.
Take care.
