I do invite you to lay down for this meditation so you can really let yourself relax and be in the moment,
Maybe even drift away.
Let your feet fall to the side,
Feel your legs lay long.
Let your arms rest with your palms facing up.
Let your head be heavy and as you close your eyes bring your awareness inwards,
Allowing yourself to fully arrive to this moment,
Letting go of any need to do and allowing yourself to simply be,
To soften,
To rest.
Imagine you're lying on a beautiful and peaceful beach,
Really take yourself there,
You're laying on the soft warm golden sand that cushions your body from head to toe.
The sun in the sky casts a golden light across your skin.
And above the sky stretches wide and open,
Painted with soft pastel colours and the vibrant blue of the sky shines brightly.
A gentle breeze moves slowly brushing over your skin and through the palm trees nearby and you hear birds singing in the distance.
The air is so fresh and light,
Carrying the scent of the sea breeze.
Take a long breath in as you inhale that sea breeze into your lungs and exhale slow.
Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath,
The rise,
The fall,
The inhale and the exhale like the tide ebbing and flowing.
Breathe a little deeper into the belly,
Breathing the sea air into the lungs,
Feel the ribs gently expand and exhale fully,
Feel yourself melting into the warm sand beneath you a little bit more.
And feel your whole body,
The weight of your body as it sinks into the air,
Feel your heels resting heavy as your feet fall to the side.
Feel your calves and the back of your thighs resting on the warm sand,
Your legs long and relaxed.
Feel your hips,
Your shoulder blades and your arms loose by your sides.
Let your hands be open and relaxed.
Feel the back of your head gently supported and with every breath feel your body becoming heavier and heavier.
You soften your chest and your shoulders,
Relaxing your neck and your jaw.
Allow your tongue to rest gently in your mouth,
You smooth your forehead and let your eyes feel heavy and close.
Take a slow breath in,
Breathing in the calm of the ocean and exhale fully,
Let yourself melt into the sand a little bit more.
Allow yourself to rest here for a moment,
With every breath feel your body becoming heavier and heavier,
More relaxed,
Sinking deeper into the sand.
Allow yourself to completely let go.
Do stay here for as long as it feels good for you.
When you are ready,
As you begin to awaken,
Carry the calmness of the sea with you,
Starting to deepen your breath,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Stretch your arms and your legs,
Taking any movement that feels good.
And let's take one more deep calming breath in and exhale,
Feel that calmness wash all over you,
Down to your toes.
Thank you for joining me today,
I wish you a beautiful rest of your day.
Namaste
