Take a moment to get settled in.
Take a little wiggle so your body feels really comfortable laying down or seated whichever you prefer.
You feel the cool air that flows in through your nose and that soothing warm air that flows out your nose.
Inhale that cool air and exhale.
Feel your body relax with every breath out.
Take a few more long and deep breaths at your own pace.
Letting any thoughts or distractions float away as you bring your attention to your breath.
In your mind's eye see yourself walking down a long narrow wooden stairway towards a beautiful and inviting beach.
Your bare feet feel the rough steps.
With every step down you feel more and more relaxed.
Any tension in the body gently begins to melt away.
As you continue your walk down the stairway you look ahead and notice the brilliant white sand stretching down the shoreline as far as you can see.
The ocean is a deep shade of blue.
As you reach to the end of the stairway you step down and sink into the warm soothing sand.
You feel the sand rub lightly between your toes.
A soothing sensation that melts through your entire body.
You take a slow stroll over towards the edge of the water.
You feel the sun warming your face and your shoulders.
As you reach the edge of the water you invite the waves to flow over your toes and ankles.
The water glides towards you sweeping around your feet.
The water feels so refreshing.
As you look over the horizon you notice seagulls gracefully soaring high.
You can hear their soft cries,
Another bird singing in the distance.
You feel all the sights,
Sounds and sensations.
You let them wash over your body as you relax more and more.
You take a little stroll along the beach by the water's edge.
Then on your walk you notice a cosy comfy beach chair waiting,
Waiting just for you in a peaceful undisturbed spot.
You sit down,
You lie back and settle in.
You take a long and deep breath in,
Letting the salty sea air invigorate your body.
Then as you exhale it brings a smile to yourself as you enjoy all the sights in front of you.
You allow your body to relax so you close your eyes,
Thinking back on your comfy chair,
Feeling the sand rub between your toes.
Then you close your eyes and you take in all the sounds and sensations.
You absorb the beautiful day,
Letting all the calm of this beautiful day wash over you,
Letting it soothe your mind and relax your body.
Stay here and allow yourself to completely let go.

When you are ready to awaken,
Bring the calmness of the sea with you,
Bringing the calmness of the ocean waves.
Let's take a few breaths in,
Breathing into the belly.
Then as you exhale,
Feel your body soften and relax a little bit more.
Breathe in the calm of the beach and exhale as it washes all over you.
One more deep breath,
Absorbing it all in and exhale.
