Begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Or if you prefer,
You can lie down.
Letting your hands rest gently,
Palms open,
Or placing one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.
Closing down the eyes if that feels safe.
And begin to land here.
Starting to draw your awareness inward.
Noticing your breath just as it is.
No need to change anything just yet.
Feel your body being supported by the earth beneath you.
And with every exhale,
Allow yourself to soften just a little bit more.
Your next breath in,
Let's inhale for the count of one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Holding at the top.
And exhaling for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold.
Beginning again,
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Holding at the top.
And exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Holding at the bottom.
Doing about two or three more rounds of that on your own.
I'll give you this time to count your own breaths.
Letting your breath slow and deepen.
Preparing you for this sacred pause.
The new moon is a time of darkness,
Of quiet,
Of planting seeds.
In this stillness,
We begin again.
Let yourself sink into this space of potential.
The slate is clean.
You are safe.
You are supported.
And you are ready.
Taking this time now to reflect and ask yourself gently,
What am I ready to call in?
What seeds am I planting in this new cycle?
You may hear words,
See images,
Or even feel sensations.
Trust what comes up.
There is no rush.
And allow your intention to take shape here.
Now silently saying to yourself,
I am open to new beginnings.
I plant this seed with love and trust.
Beginning to imagine yourself standing in a quiet field under the night sky.
The new moon glows above you.
And in your hands,
You hold a small seed,
Your intention.
With care,
You place it into the earth.
Cover it gently and place your hands over the soil.
Feel the energy of your intention beginning to grow slowly and steadily with each and every breath.
Bringing your awareness back to your body now.
Feeling the support beneath you once again.
Wiggling fingers,
Toes,
Inviting in any gentle movements.
And taking in another deep breath.
Exhaling,
Sigh it out.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and carry your intention forward.
Nourished by this beautiful energy of the new moon.
