Welcome to this practice.
Today we're going to be using your breath to energize your entire system,
The same way that a strong morning coffee might.
This morning breath technique is ideal for a daily ritual to help waken and energize,
To provide clarity and momentum before heading into the rest of your day.
What we're about to do is simple,
Potent and fast acting,
A natural expresso shot for the body and mind if you will.
When we start to breathe together,
I'll invite you to join me for 3 rounds of 30 euphoric breaths.
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling through the mouth.
When we've completed the 30 breaths,
We'll take a big inhale,
Hold it,
Squeeze the body to activate it,
And then after 10 seconds release the breath,
Emptying the lungs and relaxing the body as you do.
Once the lungs are empty,
We'll hold the empty lungs for 30 seconds.
You'll then be invited to take a final deep inhale and with an open mouth and a cathartic sigh just release the breath to end that round.
At any stage if the breath holds are too much,
Simply release them early.
This practice may not be for everyone.
If you're pregnant,
Have epilepsy,
Uncontrolled high blood pressure,
Cardiovascular concerns or any condition affected by breath retention,
Then I'd recommend not doing it.
Do not practice while driving,
In water or anywhere that you could lose your balance and hurt yourself.

Feel the breath awakening the energy within.
Inhale,
Lifting the morning fog.
Exhale,
Clearing resistance.
Each breath fanning the inner fire.
This breath is your morning espresso.
Feel the energy and vitality coursing through you.

Squeeze your fists,
Your core,
Your arms,
Your legs,
Your torso.
Ground through your seat.
Charge every cell with intention.
Now release with a sigh.
Emptying completely and hold.
Feel as the fatigue melts away in the stillness.
The body resets in this pause.
Make space for clarity and drive.
Feel as the energy builds.
Now take a big inhale.
Soft sigh out and release.
Now return to your natural breath.
Just taking time to notice the shift within.
Round 2 will begin in 3,

Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Feel momentum building.
You are clearing the last of the morning heaviness.
Feel as everything is awakening within you.
Halfway.
Let this breath energise you.
Energy rising.
Vitality coursing.

Big inhale through the nose and hold.
Squeeze every muscle in the body.
Keep holding.
Keep squeezing.
Vitality coursing.
Now release and empty the lungs and relax the body and then hold.
Feel the energy coursing through you.
Let stillness sharpen your presence.
Now take a big inhale.
Now release and let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Now just let yourself feel.
Your third and final round will begin in 3,

Inhale through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Feel your inner fire building.
Clarity sharpening.
Halfway.
Energy rising.
You are stepping into your strongest self.
Become one with your breath.
Big inhale through the nose and hold.
Squeeze every muscle in the body.
Feel as the breath hold ignites your potential.
Now release with a sigh and hold the empty lungs.
Let stillness sharpen your presence.
You are grounded,
Alert,
Awake.
Feel as the energy builds.
Now join me in taking a final deep inhale through the nose and then a soft sigh out as you just let the gentle breath return.
Allow yourself a moment to sit in the bright,
Alert energy that you have created.
