Hello and welcome.
Thank you for joining me for this practice.
My name is Kathy.
Begin by settling in.
Find a nice comfortable sitting or lying down position.
Let your eyes soften.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let the breath find you in and out.
Slow and steady.
Now bring to mind that whisper of doubt.
Who do you think you are?
Don't push it away.
Let it be here,
Like a visitor at your door.
Take a relaxing breath in and as you exhale imagine you open that door,
Just a little.
Behind those words is a small quivering voice telling you,
I don't want to be hurt.
I don't want to be judged.
I'm trying to keep you safe.
Place a hand over your heart.
Whisper to that voice,
Thank you for trying to protect me.
But I'm safe now.
I'm ready to live.
Feel your hands warm against your chest.
A reminder that courage and tenderness live in the same place.
Now imagine a gentle light at the centre of your heart.
It's not loud or blinding.
It's soft,
Steady and kind.
This is the wisdom you've gathered from living,
Feeling and healing.
With each breath that light expands,
It doesn't shout.
It simply shines.
And as it fills your body,
You realise you don't have to be perfect.
You don't have to be ready.
Just be here as you are.
Repeat quietly again.
You don't have to be perfect.
You don't have to be ready.
Just be here as you are.
Stay here for a few more breaths.
Breathing in confidence.
Breathing out self-doubt.
Let the inner critic soften into a companion who simply forgot how strong you already are.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and carry that quiet strength with you.
Namaste.
