Happy lunar eclipse,
Sweet soul!
Today we will dive into a little bit of astrology,
Simply to provide some context as to the theme of this eclipse.
So as you get yourself set up,
Choosing to remain seated or lying down,
I'll give you a brief scoop on the stars before diving into the meditation.
Lunar eclipses provide powerful portals to do shadow work,
Mirrored by the earth,
Casting a shadow on the moon itself.
Lunar eclipses always happen during a full moon.
With the moon in Taurus,
It adds in an all-loving,
Motherly,
Stable,
And nourishing energy to hold us as we embark into the shadows.
When the moon is resting in one sign,
The sun is always resting in the opposite.
With the sun in Scorpio,
Opposing the moon in Taurus,
We have the intensity of the Scorpio-Zodiac sign vibrating all around us for the past few weeks.
Scorpio energy is transformative,
Ushering in new phases of your life through internal breakthroughs,
Or even large changes and redirections,
Ushered in by your subconscious prayers.
Scorpio invites you to dig deep,
Gazing into the obsidian mirror,
To see more of what comprises your most buried thoughts.
All of this deep gazing is held with love,
Yet she holds a fierce love edging you to grow.
The full moon and lunar eclipse in Taurus is like a tender hug,
Meant to offer a reprise from all of this transforming and transmuting of Scorpio,
As scorpionic energy can sometimes overload our bodies and minds with nervous energy.
This Taurus lunar eclipse is like an energetic pit stop through the death and rebirth of Scorpio,
Meant to invite in some ease and tender connection to our physical bodies and Mother Earth.
To celebrate this lunar eclipse,
I invite you to move into loving stillness and acknowledge just how far you've come.
To let go for a moment from all the ways you want to change and evolve.
Can you let yourself feel just how magical the present moment is?
How much space occupies your body?
How perfect and whole this exact moment is?
Keeping your eyes open for a moment,
Let's dive into this practice.
Receive a deep breath in through your nose,
And release a deep breath through your mouth.
Let's do that again,
Filling up your belly this time on the inhale.
Breathing for a moment at the top,
And exhaling with a little extra drama on that breath out.
One more time,
Breathing in,
And on your exhale inviting you to close your eyes.
Becoming present with the sounds that swirl around you.
Taking in all the prominent and subtle vibrations coming from the room you're in.
I wonder if you can even expand your scope to receive sounds beyond this room.
Without needing to label the sounds or judge them,
Go ahead and hold all of it as the symphony of the present.
Becoming aware now of your physical body.
If you could sum up how you feel physically in one word.
Becoming aware now of your emotional or energetic body.
If you could sum up how you feel emotionally or energetically in one word,
What would that word be?
And lastly,
Becoming aware now of your spiritual body.
If you could sum up how you feel spiritually in one word,
What would that word be?
Very good.
Now,
As a symbol of releasing those words and moving into this moment,
I invite you to take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Let's continue to focus on your breath for a moment.
Initiating a six-count breath,
Breathing in for six counts.
Breathing out for six counts.
Very good.
This breath activates the rest side of your body.
The part of you that knows just how refreshing and healing rest can be.
Continuing to breathe in and out.
Becoming aware of any emotional tension you may have felt this week.
Allowing this tension to pool at your heart space like little droplets moving together around your heart.
Becoming a vacuum at your feet.
Vacuuming out each and every droplet until your energy field is fully clear,
Your aura cleansed.
Becoming aware now of your hands,
Feeling the hands as energy and as space.
Knowing how much space your hands take up in space,
Sensing the volume of your hands.
Seeing now your mouth,
Feeling the mouth alive and pulsating as energy,
As space.
Seeing the volume of your mouth,
Lips,
Gums,
Teeth,
Tongue.
Feeling the teeth,
The bottom and the top of your jaw.
Feeling the space between the top and the bottom.
Sensing now the crown of your head and the space that exists beyond the top of your head.
Feeling in the volume of space beyond the top of your head.
Awareness traveling down now,
Sensing the face,
Getting present with the vibration of your face.
The eyes,
The ears,
Noticing the temples.
Feeling the space between your temples.
Awareness on the volume of space between your temples.
Scanning down to your throat in the front and the back of your neck.
Realizing how much space there is between the front and back of your throat.
Awareness of the volume of space within the throat.
Becoming aware now of your chest.
Feeling the front and the back between your shoulder blades.
Feeling the entirety of your heart space as space.
Feeling into the space here,
This wonderful expansion.
Feeling the volume of space between the front and the back of your heart.
Sensing your belly,
Feeling the top of your stomach up near your ribs and the bottom of your belly below your navel.
Seeing the space that exists here,
The top,
The bottom,
The sides,
The belly as space.
Seeing down to your pelvic floor and the space that exists here.
Becoming aware of the space that comprises the pelvic floor.
Feeling the volume of space within the pelvic floor.
Just traveling down now to the feet,
Feeling the tops and bottoms of the feet.
Feeling the space occupied by the feet,
The volume of the feet.
Present now with the space beneath your feet,
The space that goes beyond your physical body.
Sensing the volume of the space beneath your feet.
Holding with you now the whole body,
The whole body,
The whole body.
Feeling the space occupied by the body,
The volume of space that comprises the body.
Tuning in now to the space just beyond the body.
I wonder if you can tap into this space that exists just beyond the body.
Sensing now the space within the room you are in.
I wonder if you can sense the volume of space that exists within this whole room.
Zooming out to sense the energy,
The space of your entire town.
I wonder if you can sense the volume of space that comprises your whole town.
Allowing your awareness to continue zooming out,
Sensing and feeling this vast space.
Moving your awareness into this expansion.
Sensing now that all layers of space and self have merged.
A spacious,
Light energy.
A gentle and warm void.
A very large and very spacious space.
As your consciousness rests within this space you are accessing a deep remembering.
A remembering of being held.
Of being protected.
This space where all things are birthed,
Where all things exist and no thing at the same time.
Resting here within this space you are invited to simply be.
Allowing whatever filters into your awareness to drift in and to drift out.
Just as easily as it arrives,
You let it leave.
Resting here within this space you are accessing a deep remembering.
Resting here within this space you are accessing a deep remembering.
Resting here within this space you are accessing a deep remembering.
Resting here within this space you are accessing a deep remembering.
Even when you are resting,
Your body is undergoing great changes.
Birthing new cells.
Regenerating blood.
Cleansing what no longer serves and replenishing vitality.
Each breath a miracle.
When you are resting there is so much magic already happening.
Even in this nothingness there is something great happening.
So rest easy and know that you are doing enough.
With every beat of your heart you are a creatrix of love.
A warrior of light.
All things and no thing at the same time.
Becoming present now to the sounds around you.
Grounding you within this present timeline.
Anchoring a bit deeper now into the body,
Noticing the flow of breath.
Beginning now to sense more of your body.
With each breath all of your cells receive oxygenated blood rejuvenating every building block of you.
Sensing once again the whole body.
Opening your breath even further now,
Breathing in through the nose.
Out through the mouth.
Perhaps you first imagine your fingers moving.
Perhaps you then physically move them.
Maybe you imagine the toes wiggling.
Maybe then you physically move them.
Continue like this imagining and then physically awakening the whole body.
In a moment I'll leave you here with freedom to stay as long as you'd like with the music and with the space.
