Hello sweet friend and welcome to today's practice on learning about body triggers.
This meditation can be done with eyes open or closed.
Really this is about you finding an internal space that's comfortable for you.
If you choose to have your eyes open,
Consider using a crystal or some symbolic object that means something to you to focus your eyes on.
Now just take a moment and get some last minute wiggles out,
Come to a comfortable easy seat.
And we'll start with the eyes open.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Pause and exhale it out.
Breathe in nice and deep.
Pause,
Exhale it out.
And once again breathe in through the nose.
Either set your vision on your object or on your exhale close your eyes.
As we move through today's practice,
Remind yourself that you are safe and everything in this moment is okay.
Notice your body seated,
Lying down or in a chair,
Wherever you are,
Sense your whole body.
Choose to turn your palms face up in your lap and bring your full attention to your hands.
Notice your hands with vibrant and radiant energy.
No worries if you can't directly feel your hands just yet,
But bring your mind's eye,
Your inner awareness to your hands.
Think of a time when you felt worry,
A time where you felt worry in your life.
Walk into this memory.
Allow yourself to be there fully in your mind.
Ask yourself where does worry live in the body?
Feel worry completely.
Now think of a time that you felt relaxed.
Allow relaxation and this memory of feeling relaxed take over your body.
A part of you feels physically the most relaxed.
Now think of a time when you felt judgment.
Think of a time where you experienced judgment.
What does your body sense around judgment?
And now think of a time when you felt approval.
Can you sense approval from others or yourself?
Where does that live in your body?
Remind yourself that you are safe.
I wonder now if you could walk into a memory where you felt sadness.
Give yourself permission to walk fully with courage back into this memory.
A memory where you felt sad.
Tune into the messages of your body.
Think of a time now when you felt joyful.
Reflect on a moment where you felt joy.
Allow joy to fill your entire being.
When you are feeling joy,
Where does this live in your physical body?
Once you get to know how your body responds to certain emotions,
You can use these body triggers to help guide you towards your own recovery.
When we notice that triggers pull us below the line,
Below operating at our fullest potential,
By simply acknowledging the trigger,
That will help heal that part of your body.
Our bodies are tremendously resilient,
Yet they also have a deep cell memory.
And in order to heal trauma,
Which we all have,
We must be willing to walk back with courage and learn what parts of the body need healing.
You being here today means you're ready for that journey.
Continue with this practice to learn more about your physical body.
And through that learning process,
All of the healing and transformation you seek is on its way.
I thank you for joining me today,
Sweet friend.
Namaste.
