Gently close your eyes,

Let the day melt away,
Let your thoughts become distant like clouds drifting through the sky.
Let go of any to-do list,

As you breathe your gentle breaths,
Say to yourself,
I allow myself to relax.
I give myself permission to let go.
I am safe to soften.
With each breath in,
Peace gently flows through you.
With each breath out,
Tension gently leaves your body.
With every inhale in,
Your nervous system calms.
With every exhale,
Your body surrenders a little more.
Let this wave of relaxation slowly move through your whole body,
Relaxing the tips of your toes,
Your feet,
Ankles,
Your lower legs,
Releasing your thighs and hips,
Softening your belly and lower back.
Let the arms grow heavy,
Relax the hands,
The wrists,
The elbows.
Feel the softness travel through to your shoulders.
Allow your chest to open and relax.
Let the spine rest,
Let the back release,
Relaxing the jaw,
The tongue.
Feel the throat soften and the back of the neck melt.
Soften your facial muscles.
Let your eyes become heavy.
The eyelids are relaxed,
Soft,
Gentle,
Closed.
With every breath,
Feel yourself floating deeper into ease.
Every sound around you becomes part of your relaxation.
Each sensation is a gentle reminder you are safe and you are here.
Thoughts may come and go,
Just let them.
You are the witness,
You are the observer,
Watching without holding on.
In just a moment,
We will take a conscious breath together.
Holding and releasing to reset the body and to clear the mind.
Now take a deep,
Slow inhale through your nose.
Hold your breath gently,
Now exhale and sigh it all out.
Let it go.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
Hold,
And exhale releasing everything.
One final time,
Inhale slowly,
Hold on to this breath,
And exhale letting go completely.
Feel yourself dissolve into the stillness.
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Feel the stillness in your body,
The calm that now fills your space.
And softly repeat,
I will remain calm and steady today.
