Hello and welcome.

I'm so glad you're here.

This is your time now.

Everything else can wait.

Let yourself settle,

Knowing there is nothing else that you need to do,

Nowhere else that you need to be,

And no one else that you need to please.

Begin by finding the most comfortable position under your blankets,

Maybe pulling them up a little higher,

Snuggling down.

Feel the way the warmth wraps around your body,

Supportive and gentle,

Everything you need.

Let your body begin to soften as you slow down.

Let's take a breath together.

In through your nose,

And a slow,

Easy breath out through your mouth.

And again,

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

Let the breath fall into its own rhythm now,

Smooth and quiet.

Now I'd like you to imagine you spent the most beautiful day in the forest.

There's a trail just outside the cabin that winds through the tall trees and soft,

Moss-covered ground.

You spent the afternoon wandering slowly,

Pausing to breathe in the scent of pine and damp earth.

You listened to the gentle rustle of leaves overhead,

And the sound of birds calling to one another.

You moved at your own pace,

With no rush,

Only a deep sense of calm.

And when you returned to the cabin,

You made yourself a nice warm drink,

Your favorite tea or maybe a cocoa treat,

And sat by the fire with your favorite book.

The light in the cabin was golden and soft,

And outside the windows,

The light began to fade into twilight.

Inside,

Everything felt just right.

Now you've tucked yourself into bed,

Inside this cozy cabin,

Nestled in the trees.

The blankets are warm and heavy in the best way.

The air smells of wood smoke and cedar,

And you can still hear the faint crackle of the fire in the other room.

Take another slow breath here,

And notice how your body sinks deeper into the bed.

Feel your head resting heavy on the pillow.

Feel your shoulders loosening.

Feel the muscles of your face softening.

Feel your jaw unclenching.

Now imagine this whole room gently dimming,

Like the forest going quiet at night.

The glow of the fireplace flickers in the hallway.

The wind brushes softly against the window panes,

Only making it feel all the more cozy inside.

Each breath you take is like a wave washing over you,

Drawing you deeper and deeper into rest.

With every exhale,

Your body says,

Yes,

Yes,

I can let go now.

Yes,

I can relax.

You are safe,

You are warm,

And sleep has arrived.

Let it carry you.

Let it wrap around you like the softest blanket.

Let this warm,

Cozy cabin hold you.

And drift,

Gently now,

Into rest.

Into peace.

Into sleep.

Take care,

My friend.
