Hello there,
And I warmly welcome you to this meditation.
This session is best listened to just before bedtime,
When you're able to fully,
Deeply surrender and allow yourself to rest.
Make sure that you're in a quiet,
Dimly lit room with low lights,
Where you can safely relax.
No worries,
No concerns.
Take a few moments to become as comfortable as possible.
Do you cover your body with a blanket,
Adjust,
Pillows?
Do you have one,
Two,
Or a few?
Is there a ritual where they go?
Do whatever you need to let your body know that it's bedtime,
And it's time to rest.
Settle in,
Intuitive movement,
Subtle,
Any transitions.
You find the joy,
The curiosity to nestle into your human nest.
Allow your eyes to close and your breath to slow down.
With this shift in pace,
You find your mind slowing down too.
Be the observer,
Even if it feels like flicking through channels of thought,
Images from the day.
You are aware of the human you with a personality.
You are aware of conscious effort to slow down and to enter this rest.
Let's slow the body with this grand,
Gracious invitation to rest.
And to breathe a bit more deeply and really feel the weight of your body on your bed.
Tell your head to sink deeper into your pillow now.
The exhale gives into gravity in such a sacred,
Weighted aspect of the incarnated you.
Make sure that your mouth is gently parted,
Space between your teeth.
You may breathe through your nose to filter the air to slow down the breath of life in this rhythmic cycle.
Feel the eyebrows light and float like clouds in a sky,
And the forehead smooth and relaxed.
It's time to rest.
No evaluation needed.
You deserve it,
No matter what you did or didn't do today.
It is time to rest.
Tell your back to soften now,
Sinking deeply into your mattress or any cushions.
It's time to rest.
If you notice your body starting to shift or reposition at any point throughout this meditation,
That's okay.
It's natural.
Allow your body wisdom to make adjustments as you need to ensure optimal comfort,
For it's an act of love to fine-tune the worthiness of your relaxation.
And now,
It's time to drift,
Drifting away from anything going on outside of your body.
Drifting away from any sounds outside of this session.
Drifting away from your surroundings,
And drifting away from your stream of consciousness as you feel yourself deeply diving into the subconscious mind.
And if you begin to feel yourself drifting elsewhere into the realm of sleep before this session even ends,
That's okay.
Follow that stream.
Follow that flow to let go,
Consciously or not,
Into gratitude for the day you got to live,
For the safety to rest right now.
Slip into that slumber at any time you are called to join union with the cosmic whole.
Now feel your body rising,
Floating in the void of sleep.
Floating above your bed.
Floating even higher above your home.
Seeing your entire life from another vantage point,
From another point of view.
What does your life look like from here?
What do you see if you were to relive the day,
Or any repetitive habits that you do day in,
Day out?
Day out.
What does your life look like from up here?
Perhaps you notice that your problems seem very far away from this height,
And you begin to feel far removed from the little concerns of everyday life.
Notice the aspects of your life that often go unnoticed.
What are they?
Are they moments of care and compassion for yourself,
Or for someone else that no one really knows?
Or are they moments of struggle and effort that no one knows about?
Take in this big picture.
Consider how everything works together perfectly in this dance of life.
The effort,
The ease,
And the roles that you play for your body,
Mind,
And spirit work together,
Thriving for a happy,
Harmonious,
And fulfilled life.
You know that you can reach this fulfillment by simply accepting gratitude as the only currency.
Gratitude.
What you lived or didn't live in a day.
Gratitude.
I tried.
I lived.
I breathed.
I walked.
I spoke.
Gratitude as you lay,
And float,
And observe,
And acknowledge.
Gratitude.
Imagine waving your arms over your life now,
Wiping the slate clean,
Clearing away any grudges and stagnant energy,
Stagnant,
Stuck areas.
Take a deep breath in,
And deeply release,
Creating a new appreciation.
For everyone and everything in your life,
Grateful for all of the people who are part of your experiences and memories,
No matter the role they play,
Direct,
Indirect.
For they are the mosaic,
Even in their contrast.
They remind you who you are,
What you value.
Allow them in,
And let them go,
Expressing appreciation for every aspect of this beautiful,
Beautiful life.
Appreciation for every breath in your lungs,
The one you breathe in right now.
And that one that you release.
No attachment.
You welcome the flow,
The breath of life,
And every beat from the rhythm of your heart.
You are grateful for all.
For all.
Most importantly,
This ritual to rest.
Simply drift now,
Allowing your body and mind to go into any direction they would like to.
Drifting over your life,
And playing the role of a gentle observer in the sea of consciousness.
Watching without judgment,
Simply observing with an open heart as your only compass.
Voyage in any direction.
Voyage in a multitude of directions.
You feel yourself drifting to sleep,
To another dimension.
You let go of any visuals in your mind's eye.
You let go and release thoughts,
And allow the mind to rest.
Allow your breath to flow,
Attuned to a unique rhythm that the body wisdom is in symphony with.
No effort.
Your inner being,
And the sacredness of what it is to have a body,
Allow the life force to care for you.
You consciously let go,
Knowing that you are divinely blessed to rest.
And from this expanded place,
You anchor and remember that you have this sacred body,
And you feel grounded,
Secure,
Warm.
Feeling the cushions or mattress beneath you.
Feeling any air against your skin.
Secure in your sacred space,
In this room where relaxation is happening.
Comfortable here in your bed.
You are completely relaxed.
You are ready to sleep now.
Grateful for your mind.
Grateful for your body.
Grateful for this opportunity and worthiness to let go,
And to allow rest.
