And now tell your mind that you are going to go on a journey.
The logical mind will still want to think you're making it up or maybe try to protect you.
But we are engaging with the curious part of you,
The one that wants to explore,
To use the imagination and to experience your inner world in a new way.
So first,
Let's relax the body,
Turn the attention inwards,
And imagine that there is a beautiful beam of light above you.
And just allow this light to enter in through the top of the head,
And as it does,
It relaxes all of the follicles of your hair,
Softening the scalp,
Softening the forehead,
The sides of the face.
And to promote this feeling of healing and relaxation in the body,
See if you could imagine that you could also breathe,
You could send the breath to that part of your body,
Starting with the head.
Imagining that the breath also releases any tension in the head and in the sides of the face.
Sending the inhales to expand all the way up through your neck,
All the way in to the area of your skull.
Purifying,
Cleansing,
Relaxing all of the parts of your face.
Imagining the light clears away all of the to-do lists and the breath expands the relaxation and your focus.
Maintaining the focus on your head,
Breathing in and out,
As if that was the area of your body that you could breathe through.
And then bringing your attention down to the lower part of your head,
Where your jaw and ears are and the back of your neck,
And just letting the breath flow in and out as if that was the area of your body that you could breathe through.
And just letting the breath flow in and out as if that was the area of your body where your jaw and ears are and the back of your neck.
Imagining that light purifies that section,
And then again,
Bringing your focused breath to that area,
Even with the ears and the upper part of your neck.
And as you focus on this area with your breath,
Notice any part of that area that begins to soften.
Notice what has released and continue to send the breath there with the inhales and exhales focusing to provide relief to that area of you.
Perhaps even your chin may drop,
And you feel that area that supports your head.
Relax.
And then bringing the light down,
Imagining the light goes down to the insides of the neck,
The sides of the neck,
And sending your breath also to that area.
Focusing your attention on those muscles,
On the skeletal structure,
On the fascia that supports the muscles.
And notice if there's any micro sensations that lengthen those muscles,
If there's any release,
If there's any type of elongation to the back of your neck,
Breathing into that area,
As if this is where your nostrils are.
Your nostrils were located in this area of your neck,
And it's the only part you could breathe with.
Put all of your focus there.
Send the breath through all of the areas,
All of the layers,
Into the central internal channel where your spine begins in the back of your neck.
Breathe into this powerful point of connection.
And imagine the light cleanses away tension,
Like a light shower,
Using the muscle of your imagination,
And then using the muscle of your focused energy to breathe into the area of the back of your neck.
Imagine any tension could melt away,
Like liquid caramel,
It just surrenders and follows the intention of your breath and visualization.
And now bringing your attention to the sides of your neck,
All the way down to your shoulders.
And imagine the light sweeps away the tension,
So then you're ready to focus the breathing there,
Both sides evenly.
Feel the rise and the subtle fall of the shoulders,
Lifting and relaxing.
The subtle feeling of the shoulders,
The subtle feeling of the air,
Focusing your attention on just this area to breathe in and out.
And notice if there's any lengthening that occurs,
Any micro sense of relief that you can focus on.
And then imagine that light restores all of the tranquility in the chest area.
So your breath and your focus goes to that area,
As if there was nostrils on your chest where you could breathe in and out of.
And all of this seems normal to you because your focus is so in tune with your breath.
With this area of your body.
Breathing in with the chest,
Feeling that expansion.
And breathing out with the chest,
Feeling that relief.
Feeling the softening in the upper back.
Imagining that the vertebrae are aligning and your focus continues to provide the breath to the chest,
To expand the relief to the areas surrounding the heart.
And now down to the lungs,
Imagining that the light is coming in and out.
Cleanse this area for you,
Like a light shower.
And this allows your focus to completely be absorbed in breathing in the middle area of your chest,
So your ribs expand.
And bringing all your focus to that sensation of expansion with the inhale.
Noticing if the left and right sides are expanding equally.
And seeing if you can also bring that expansion to your back,
Breathing so fully into the chest that the back is also expanding.
And therefore,
Aligning the vertebrae,
Restoring your organs and your systems to a reset.
And imagine the light shower now cleanses the stomach and the lower abdomen.
So the focus can now continue down.
To inhale and exhale with this area of your body.
Expanding the stomach with the inhale.
And centering with the exhale.
Bring all your focus to this area of your body,
This lower part of your stomach.
Sending relief to all those digestive processes.
Bringing restored balance and focus into this region,
As if this is the only part of your body you could breathe with.
Notice how the back expands behind the chest.
Behind the stomach.
How the breath envelops all of the organs here.
And how the fascia stretches open.
Now imagining the light going down towards the hips.
The area that's being supported by the chair below you.
And cleanses away all of the tension that was stored there.
So now your breath begins to be focused in that area,
Primarily through all of the bones.
Imagine your breath softens,
Opens,
And relaxes all of the tissues,
All of the joints in the hips.
And it feels completely natural to have your attention drawn all the way down to the hips.
As if this is the only part of your body you've ever breathed with.
Imagine you could breathe even through the bones of the hips,
Through that part of your skeletal system.
Providing relief to the joints.
Just imagine that breath goes through all of the layers of the muscles,
Of the skin.
Breathing through all of the external tissues.
And on the inside,
Breathing through all of the internal tissues.
Inhale,
Expanding relief into the hips,
Focusing only on that area for the breath.
And on the exhale,
Centering into that area,
Into the lower vertebraes.
Imagining the lower vertebrae is aligned,
Regenerated,
And relaxed into the seat.
For the support.
Continuing to breathe in this area and notice if there's any relief here.
If there's any softening,
If there's any surrendering that has occurred.
And imagine that light now moves down to the left and right thighs.
Cleansing them,
Purifying them to prepare for the breathing in this area.
Breathing with the left and right thighs.
Imagining that the inhale moves through all of the big muscles,
All the way into the center of the bones.
And on the exhale,
It takes away all of the tension that was stored there,
Allowing your thighs and legs to surrender even deeply,
Even more deeply to the comfort below.
Inhaling through all of the muscle groups,
The fascia.
And exhale,
Allowing the tension to be stored there.
And allowing the welcome heaviness to allow the legs to completely surrender.
And then imagine that light moves down to purify the joints of the knees,
The shins,
The calves.
And you get the opportunity now to focus your attention into the lower parts of your legs.
Imagine you could breathe in to this part that honors your sense of stability and balance,
That keeps you upright when you need it.
Breathe that sense of gratitude and relief into this area,
This lower shins,
Legs.
And noticing what sensations are here and what micro-softening you can allow.
And then bringing your imagination to see the light,
Wash away all of the degree and tension from your feet that's been gathered from walking outside.
Walking out in the world,
Stabilizing you,
Supporting you.
Imagine that's purified.
So now you get to breathe in through the bottom of your feet.
Breathing in that relief and that sense of lightness now.
You may start to feel the lightness of your feet.
You may start to feel tingling on your feet.
As you allow your focus to continuously bring the inhales and exhales through all of the layers and small bones of your feet.
See if there's any part of your feet that has relaxed more.
Even if it's just the tops of the toenails,
Focus on that sense of relief and dedicate your breath to be in this space,
The bottoms and tops of your feet.
And now,
I'd like you to imagine that you can now breathe in with your entire body.
Sensing the whole outline of your body.
Imagine that the breath moves through all of the layers,
Through the outline of your figure,
Into your center.
And you exhale out that sense of relief to your entire aura.
Breathing into the space that's surrounding your body,
That energy field that outlines your body.
Focus on breathing in with the entire body through the outline,
Through the outside layers to the inside organs.
All the way into the central channel.
And exhale out,
Sending the relief all the way out to the energetic body that surrounds you.
And then,
I'd like you to imagine that you can now breathe in with your entire body.
And exhale out,
Sending the relief all the way out to the energetic body that surrounds you.
And this is the completion of the meditation.
