Welcome to Life Affirmations.
Choosing hope.
Thank you for joining me for this time of reflection,
Encouragement and renewal.
Today we are choosing hope.
Not because we know exactly what will happen next,
But because we need to know that every moment feels bright.
Sometimes,
Hope is simply the willingness to believe that something new is possible.
A small light,
A gentle opening.
A sense that there is more waiting for us than we can see from where we are standing today.
So,
For these next few minutes,
Allow yourself to step away from everything else.
Find your comfy space warm and cozy.
Let your hands rest easily and gently close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in.
And breathe out softly.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Allowing your shoulders to soften,
Relaxing your jaw,
Your forehead is becoming smooth.
Take a deep breath in.
And a longer,
Slower release.
Letting go of any stress or tension.
Just arrive in this moment.
This breath.
Just you.
Bring your awareness to your breathing now,
Its natural rhythm.
The breath arriving.
Flowing in.
And leaving flowing out.
Each inhale is bringing something new.
And each exhale creating a little more space.
Another slow breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Just loosen any thoughts or tensions.
That you're holding on to.
Just give yourself a little space around it.
A little more room to breathe.
Hope doesn't always arrive as a great wave of optimism.
Sometimes it begins with the smallest shift.
It could be a conversation that helps.
Creating a new idea,
A kind word.
A door opening where you hadn't noticed one before.
The first green shoot pushing through the air.
Or a patch of blue appearing in a grey sky.
And something inside you quietly whispering.
Maybe.
Things can change.
There is another way.
Tomorrow can feel so different from today.
Hope does not require certainty.
It simply asks us to leave a little room for possibility.
So let's give it that room.
Think for a moment about your own life.
Those times when you didn't know what would happen next,
And yet life continued to unfold.
Something changed.
Something appeared.
An answer came through.
And you found your way.
You discovered a strength you didn't know you had.
Something you once worried about eventually became part of your past.
Those times when life surprised you.
Just take a moment to remember that.
You've already experienced beginnings that you couldn't have predicted and there are so many more still waiting for you.
You only need to meet the next step.
And hope can live here.
In the next breath.
The next morning.
The next conversation.
The next choice.
The next beginning.
Because life is still moving.
It is still unfolding.
And there is so much more ahead.
So we're going to go through some affirmations now.
There's no need to rush through them.
Just after each one,
Allow the words to settle into your heart.
Just notice how they feel.
One affirmation may speak to you more deeply than the others.
And if it does,
Let that be the one you carry with you.
So take a gentle breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
I choose hope today.
Just breathe those words deep into your heart.
Let this be a choice you make one moment at a time.
Don't have to feel hopeful about everything.
Or just simply begin by looking for one small opening.
Those possibilities that will appear.
That this day is still unfolding.
Hope might be reaching out to someone or simply opening the curtains,
Opening the curtains wide and welcoming another morning.
Take a breath in.
And quietly say to yourself.
I choose hope today.
Breathe out and receive those words.
I am open to new possibilities.
Just leave a little room for the unexpected.
A new idea,
A different path,
A conversation,
A chance encounter.
Appreciating the magic of life.
Simply remain open to notice when something new appears.
So take a slow breath in.
And repeat,
I am open to new possibilities.
And breathe out.
Let those words Settle into your heart.
And just allow yourself to wonder.
What might still be possible.
I trust myself to take the next step.
Sometimes we wait for certainty before moving forward.
But life doesn't always give us the entire map.
Usually we are shown one step at a time.
And then another and another.
So ask yourself gently,
What is one small thing I can do today that will help me move forward to where I want to be?
It doesn't need to be impressive.
Small steps count a decision.
A phone call,
A few minutes just spent doing something that matters to you.
Resting when your body asks you to rest.
Beginning something creative.
That you've been putting off.
Take a breath in.
I trust myself to take the next step.
And as you breathe out.
Feel the quiet strength within those words.
I welcome brighter moments into my life.
These brighter moments sometimes arrive quietly.
Someone making you laugh.
A bird singing outside your window.
Even sunlight falling across a room.
A beautiful blue sky.
A message from someone you love.
A few peaceful minutes you weren't expecting.
Now you can begin to notice these moments and let yourself really enjoy them when they come.
Let them count.
Because your life is made from these beautiful moments too.
So take a gentle breath in.
I welcome brighter moments into my life.
And breathe out.
And let your heart receive those words.
There is so much more goodness ahead and maybe you don't know what that goodness looks like yet.
But that's okay.
There are days that you haven't lived.
People you haven't met.
Places that you haven't seen or conversations that you haven't had.
Those laughters that you haven't shared yet.
Sunsets you haven't watched.
And music that you haven't heard.
These are those beautiful ordinary moments.
So leave some space for them.
And take a slow,
Full breath in.
There is more goodness ahead.
And breathe out slowly allowing those words to echo deeply within you.
There is more goodness ahead.
Now you see yourself standing outside just before sunrise.
The world is quiet.
The air is fresh.
Everything around you feels still.
Above you,
The sky is dark.
And far away on the horizon.
You begin to notice the faintest line of light.
A soft silver at first,
Then a whisper of gold.
You stand quietly and watch.
The darkness,
It doesn't disappear all at once.
The light it simply begins to arise.
Gradually.
Naturally.
A little more light.
A little more color.
A little more warmth.
And you realize this is how hope often comes.
Not as a sudden answer.
Not as everything changing overnight.
But hope is there in the first light appearing on the horizon.
A sign that something is shifting.
And you may not be able to see your whole day yet.
But you know it is coming.
And now you feel the first warmth of the sun touching your face,
Soft and gentle.
And let that warmth travel across your shoulders,
Down through your arms,
Across your chest.
Over your shoulders,
Down your back,
Around your heart.
Your hips,
Your legs and feet.
And this light is carrying so much hope with it.
And it is simply reminding you.
There is more to come.
Breathe that in.
There is more to come.
Feel the light glowing around you.
The colors of the morning becoming brighter.
Now you hear the first birds beginning their morning song.
The world is now awaking around you.
It's a wonderful new day.
A new beautiful beginning.
It's a day that has never existed before.
So just stay here for a few moments.
Simply receiving this brand new day.
A brand new day full of hope,
Full of possibility.
Full of a new beginning.
Wonderful.
So breathe in possibility.
And breathe out.
Breathe in light.
And breathe out.
Breathe in hope.
And as you breathe out,
Gently let go.
You're feeling a little more open now.
A little lighter.
A little more willing to trust what you cannot yet see.
Hope doesn't have to be something grand.
Going for a walk,
Sending a message.
Making plans is something you would like to do today.
Planting something and trusting it will grow.
Laughing,
Resting,
Smiling,
Trying again.
And so looking forward to tomorrow.
So hope can really be woven into the smallest parts of our lives.
And each time you choose it,
You strengthen it.
So maybe one of the affirmations that we've explored today that one has stayed with you.
Maybe it is I choose hope today.
I am open to new possibilities.
I trust myself to take the next step.
I welcome brighter moments into my life.
There is more goodness ahead.
And just choose the one you need today.
Take it with you in your heart.
And just say it when you wake in the morning,
Whisper it while you're walking,
Or just write it down somewhere where you'll notice it.
You can return to it when your day might feel uncertain.
And,
Little by little,
Allow it to become something you don't simply say,
But something you begin to live.
So take a deep,
Slow breath in.
And a longer,
Gentler breath out.
Become aware of your presence.
The gentle rhythm of your breathing.
Roll your shoulders if that feels good and give yourself a gentle stretch.
Gently open your eyes.
And remember this.
You only need to leave a little window open for possibility.
For hope.
For something to change.
For something beautiful to arrive.
Because life is still unfolding and your beautiful story is still being written.
Is so much more for you to discover and there is so much more goodness ahead.
So carry hope with you into whatever comes next.
And just remember that horizon.
Doubtless that is beginning to soften,
The first glimmer of gold,
The light quietly returning,
And the sunshine warming your cheeks.
One breath,
One step,
One beautiful new day at a time.
So,
Thank you so much for sharing this exploration of hope with me and until we meet again.
Take good care of yourself.
Namaste,
My friends.
