Somatic Trauma Recovery and Awareness in times of threats and unsafety. We cannot experience happiness, or peace, or be our true selves without first finding a sense of safety within our own bodies. In survival mode, the nervous system is constantly on alert for external threats and attacks, leaving little room for internal safety and the possibility of being With Yourself. Join me as I share some insights on how to begin uncovering pockets of safety when you live with PTSD or trauma. This talk will be followed by guided somatic awareness exercises. Listen as many times as you need to gently bring your awareness to your body part. If you'd like me to discuss inescapable challenges faced during wars, displacements, and the experience of living and surviving in fear-prone environments where war is a constant threat, please share your thoughts and comments.
