Amy Henry is a mom, first grade teacher, fitness instructor, and mindfulness practitioner based in Maplewood, New Jersey. Her experiences — including motherhood, depression, loss, teaching, and divorce — have shown her the deep importance of caring for oneself. Amy’s meditation practice has created subtle but meaningful shifts in her life: greater patience, steadier presence, and the ability to move through difficult moments without becoming overwhelmed. Through mindfulness, she has learned to live more softly and with greater joy. Her approach is gentle, grounded, and accessible. She believes meditation does not require perfection or an empty mind. Instead, it invites us to notice what is here — thoughts, tension, joy, grief — and meet it with compassion. Amy’s meditations help listeners regulate the nervous system, soften self-criticism, and build resilience — the ability to feel deeply without losing oneself. Many of her offerings support busy parents, educators, and caregivers who spend much of their time caring for others. She will also share some short, accessible, kid-friendly meditations that she does with her first graders. She is committed to creating inclusive spaces where all listeners feel welcome and valued. Amy approaches this work with humility and gratitude. Amy offers each meditation as an invitation: to slow down, to notice, to soften, and to remember your inherent wholeness. Thank you for showing up.
