This guided meditation for children is designed to help kids slow down, settle their bodies, and feel safe and calm within themselves. This mindful moment can be used by teachers to help students begin their day, regulate after recess, assemblies, or other stimulating activities, or refocus during moments of transition in the classroom. It can also be used by parents to support smoother bedtime routines, ease anxiety before school or social events, or help children move through big emotions at home. Through simple breathing cues, children are invited to notice their thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations in a way that feels approachable and reassuring. Rather than trying to make anything go away, this practice teaches children that all feelings are welcome and that they have the ability to pause and find steadiness inside.
