Hello again and welcome.
My name is Pratika.
Today this video is called What are you trying to hold?
Together.
I'd like to invite you into a simple question.
What are you trying to hold together?
Perhaps your future,
A relationship,
Your health.
Your work,
Your finances.
Your family.
Your emotions.
Or perhaps the idea of who you believe yourself to be.
For many of us,
This effort has become so familiar.
That we rarely question it.
It simply feels like what we must do.
Hold everything together.
Who will?
And so we think more,
Plan more,
Control more,
Prepare more.
Always hoping that peace will arrive.
When everything finally feels certain.
In the far off future.
But has life ever remained still?
Thoughts move,
Feelings move,
The body changes,
Relationships change.
Circumstances change.
Seasons change.
Life changes.
Is a movement.
Can movement be held?
A thought appears.
Does anyone make it appear?
It remains for a time,
Then passes.
A feeling appears it too remains for a time.
Then it passes.
Breathing happens.
Sounds are heard.
Sensations arise.
Life continues.
Without asking permission.
So what exactly is being held together?
This is not a question for the mind to answer.
It is an invitation.
Without reaching for an answer,
Simply notice,
Is there someone holding life together?
Or is life already effortlessly unfolding?
Perhaps we spend so much energy trying to manage.
What has never stopped moving.
Trying to hold together.
What has never been fixed.
Perhaps life has never asked us to hold it together.
Perhaps it has only invited us to meet it.
As it unfolds.
And in this simple saying,
Something begins to soften.
Not because life has become certain.
Not because every problem has disappeared.
But because of the burden of holding everything together.
Is now quietly questioned.
There may come a moment when nothing has been sold.
Nothing has been controlled.
Nothing has been made certain.
There is peace.
And calm.
Not because life has stopped moving,
But because it is seen that life has always been moving.
By itself.
And perhaps nothing was ever asked to be held together.
Thank you for being here.
May this question gently remain with you.
Notice something to answer.
But is something too quietly.
Return 2 Blessings to you.
