Hello,
Welcome.
Take a moment to sit quietly.
Now be aware of what is present right where you are.
You are hearing these words.
Perhaps also noticing sounds around you.
Sensations within your body.
The flow of thoughts.
And these experiences together become your reality where you are sitting.
A sound is heard,
A sensation is felt.
A thought arises.
Then the mind begins to interpret and give meaning to what is happening around you.
Without stopping to question this meaning,
This interpretation is a normal conditioning.
After a lifetime of these interpretations,
We've come to accept these as a personal truth.
Now for most of us,
This is how we experience life,
Rarely stopping to consider anything else.
But now for this moment,
Pause and ask yourself.
Is what I am experiencing now actually what I know it to be?
Based on my past experiences.
This may sound a strange question.
But have you ever had anything else to compare your direct experiencing with?
Is this simply the way the mind creates our perceived reality without us questioning it in any way?
We have lived within this particular viewpoint for so long.
Have we ever really considered that there could be another way of seeing?
Of feeling,
Of listening.
Of sensing.
Have we ever considered that there could be another way of understanding?
Of being.
Experiencing life without everything being filtered.
Through what we have unconsciously believed in the way we interpret reality.
Without blindly following mind's conditioning.
Now in this moment,
Simply notice.
How you are seeing.
How you are feeling.
How you are sensing Notice how quickly the mind reaches for what it already knows,
How it interprets our experiences.
A sound is heard.
It is labeled.
A sensation appears.
It is interpreted.
Something happens,
The mind interprets what it knows through memory.
We are not catching our thoughts.
They are being projected ahead of our awareness all the time.
We don't experience the world in the immediacy of now.
We understand it through what the mind has already interpreted it as before.
Through memory.
Expectation,
Emotions,
Belief,
Conditionings.
And even the past that seems so certain,
We carry as our interpretation of it.
But we are here.
We are here now.
We've never been shown,
Been made aware,
To see that beyond the limitations of what we think we know,
We have simply inherited a way of seeing.
Almost a formula.
And all that falls within its boundaries,
We call our reality.
Human life is traditionally based upon a separateness.
Upon an individuality.
A belief that we are separate from one another.
Moving through a world that exists outside of us.
I am here,
The world is there,
So the formula says.
But what if there is something prior to this division,
This conditioned belief?
Something that does not belong to any one individual,
Something with no boundary,
No history.
No identity,
No attachments or agenda.
A presence quietly here.
Before the mind divides experience into a defined label,
Before a me as something which is separate.
Could this be another way of being?
Not being a someone.
But simply a greater sense of that which cannot be defined or labeled.
A spacious wholeness in which everything appears equal and free.
Sounds,
Sensations.
Thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions.
All part of one wholeness.
Beneath the movement of the mind,
Beneath the continual projection of thought,
Is there something that does not move?
Something timeless,
Quietly present.
Something aware.
Not something you have created,
Not something you have learnt.
Something simply here.
Prior to all experiencing.
Timelessly aware.
So right now,
Without trying to change anything,
Simply look.
What is actually here before the mind tells you what it is?
What is that silent space between each thought?
Between each breath.
What is here before a sound is named?
A sensation is interpreted.
A thought becomes a story.
Could there be a timelessness,
A spaciousness,
Quietly and inseparably present?
Now quietly rest here without trying to understand.
No longer looking through the lens of what you already know.
But simply being present and open.
To what is beyond a mind's definition.
A willingness to know what is possible.
From here,
Simply notice.
Reality may not be what you think.
They may be much more intimate.
Much more fundamental than thought ever allowed you to recognise.
