Stress can feel deeply personal. “My stress.” “My anxiety.” “My thoughts.” “My life.” But what happens when we quietly look at the assumption of “me” that is said to be experiencing all of this? This meditation invites you to notice stress without immediately identifying with it — to become aware of the thoughts, sensations and bodily responses that arise, without making them into a personal story. Nothing needs to be pushed away or fixed. Simply noticing what is being experienced, and noticing the movement of the identity of “me” around that experience, can create a little more space, clarity and ease. A gentle exploration of stress, identification, and what remains when experience is allowed to simply be. A wonderful video for returning the Central Nervous System to balance.
