What is the difference between knowledge... and direct knowing? We spend much of our lives gathering information, ideas, beliefs, and concepts, hoping they will bring certainty and understanding. Yet there is another kind of knowing that does not arise from thought. In this contemplative reflection, we explore the difference between knowledge held by the mind and the direct recognition that is present before thought begins. As understanding deepens, there may come a quiet shift—from collecting answers to resting in immediate experience. Perhaps what we have been seeking has never been hidden. It has simply been overlooked beneath the constant movement of the thinking mind. A gentle invitation to rediscover the wisdom of direct knowing.
