Hello again and welcome.
My name is Pratika.
Today I'd like to invite you into a timeless question.
Not to answer it,
But to experience it.
Before thought,
Who am I?
Before the mind remembers a name,
A history,
A role,
Or a story.
What is there?
Before the next thought appears,
Is there uncertainty?
Or is there simply a silent,
Aware presence?
The person is known through memory,
Through thought,
Through all that can be remembered.
But before memory,
Before thought,
Who or what is here?
Every answer the mind arrives at is simply another thought.
Appearing.
Then disappearing.
Can a thought ever describe that which is aware?
Of the sword.
Or is awareness already here before every answer?
Before every question.
Before every image of oneself.
Notice awareness never says I am aware.
It is no need to describe itself.
It simply is.
Perhaps that is why the question,
Who am I?
Can never truly be answered.
Not because the answer is hidden.
But because what one is cannot become an object of thought.
The invitation is not to discover a better answer.
It is simply to remain as is.
Before the mind begins to answer.
Perhaps silence is not the absence of life.
It is the wholeness of life before thought divides it.
Into a me and the world.
Before thought,
Nothing has yet become something else.
There is only an undivided aliveness of life.
Before Thought Live has not become a story.
There is no past to carry.
No future to become.
Only this.
As it is.
Silent,
Alive.
Before thought,
Nothing has been divided except in imagination.
Before a name there is simply what is.
Before identity there is only being.
Before I and you,
There is one whole.
Indivisible aliveness.
Expressing itself as everything.
Thought imagines separation.
It names what has never been separate.
Difference is not separation.
Diversity is not division.
Separation begins when thought believes its description is reality.
Before thought,
There is no inside,
There is no outside.
No centre,
No edge.
Only what is.
As it is.
Before thought,
There is no one trying to become.
What they effortlessly are.
There is simply being.
Effortless,
Whole.
Complete.
Long before thought imagined otherwise.
So perhaps the question,
Who am I,
Is not asking for an answer.
Perhaps it is gently inviting thought to become still.
So that what has always been here quietly.
Reveals itself.
Before thought,
There is only life.
Whole,
Complete,
Undivided.
Never change that.
And finally it is seen that nothing has ever been missing.
Nothing has ever needed to become anything else.
And the question,
Who am I,
Quietly disappears.
Comes to rest.
What remains?
Has always been.
The completeness of life.
Itself.
If this contemplation has resonated with you,
You're warmly welcome,
Invited to explore the rest of this growing collection.
H1 is another doorway.
To the same recognition.
