What does it mean to be absolutely still? Not simply to stop moving the body, but to become quiet within. Much of life is lived through movement: thinking, remembering, and responding. Yet in this moment, nothing needs to be done. Allow the body to be still. Allow the mind to be just as it is. Thoughts may arise, yet something within remains completely still. Notice sounds without following them. Notice thoughts without becoming involved in them. Stillness is not something you have to create; it becomes apparent when the constant movement of doing is no longer being followed. Simply be here... completely... without moving towards anything. Rest as the quiet, impersonal presence in which everything is appearing. This meditation accompanies the new weekly Live Meditation Be Absolutely Still, an open invitation to explore more deeply how stillness can be recognized and lived.
