Hello,
This meditation is called A Silence That Knows.
This meditation is an invitation to notice something very simple,
Something that is already here,
Before any effort,
Before any change.
Right now,
Without needing to adjust anything,
Notice that you are aware.
Not as an idea,
Not as something to think about,
But as a quiet,
Undeniable fact.
Something is aware of this moment.
There is no need to define it,
No need to understand it,
Just a gentle recognition.
And as you sit where you are,
Allow the body to be just as it is.
No need to change the breath,
No need to control anything.
Thoughts may be present,
Sensations may be here,
Feelings may come and go,
And yet all of it is being known,
Without effort,
Without strain.
So just for a moment,
Notice this clearly.
Whatever is appearing,
Is appearing to something.
A thought arises,
And it is known.
A sensation is felt,
And it too is known.
Even the sense of a me can appear,
And that too is known.
So quietly let a question form.
Not to answer with the mind,
But simply to look a little deeper.
What is it that knows all of this?
Is a thought aware,
Or is it being observed?
Do sensations know themselves,
Or are they appearing within something that knows them?
There is something here,
Already present.
Aware of the body,
Aware of the breath,
Aware of the movements of thought.
And this awareness,
Does it come and go,
Or has it been quietly here all along?
Thoughts change,
Feelings shift,
Emotions rise and fall,
Sensations come and go.
But this that knows,
Remains,
Still,
Open,
Spacious,
Unaffected.
Nothing needs to be done to reach it,
Because it is already here,
Timelessly present.
Not separate from anything,
And yet,
Untouched by everything.
So for a few moments,
Just rest where you are.
Not as the thoughts,
Not as a changing experience,
But as this quiet,
Open knowing.
Nothing to hold on to,
Nothing to push away,
Just this.
And if thoughts appear,
Let them be,
They are simple movements,
Appearing and disappearing,
Disappearing,
Within this open,
Inseparable awareness.
There is no need to follow them,
No need to stop them.
They are known,
And in being known,
They pass.
Awareness itself remains unchanged,
Effortless,
Already complete.
Now,
As this meditation comes to a close,
Notice,
That this awareness is not limited to this moment.
It did not begin,
And it does not end.
It is present,
In the next breath,
Before the next thought,
In movement,
In stillness,
And in silence.
There is no need to return to it,
Because you have never left it.
So quietly now,
Allow the body to be felt again,
The natural rhythm of the breath,
The space around you,
Where you sit.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Nothing to carry,
Nothing to hold.
Just this quiet,
Simple knowing,
Remaining.
Blessings to you.
